Titanium Armor And The Flagship

So I cant find a flagship that has the titanium armor. I have defeated the gold color 3 star cog ships about 6 times now and still no armor is found. Am I going after the wrong ship or just a bad luck on RNG? If this is the correct ship and I am falling prey to rng, there needs to be a change. Super fun game but I am not interested in fighting a ship and then waiting the next 20 minutes for the next one to appear for 6+ hours.

@DisturbedZ Hello, sorry for the confusion. I made a quick video to show how to get the required parts for titanium armor. Once you destroy the ship, you need to mine the parts, and one of the parts drops the damaged hull parts that are needed for production of the upgrade. Oh ok that makes sense now. I was confused by the quest info I thought I had to find a certain ship thank you. I will be sure to make a video of this and put it on my playthrough series on youtube so that all my viewers will know how to do this as well. Thank you

Well.. my first flagship gave me plenty parts.. BUT, quest says i still need the titanium armor IV...

That'll be the red-coloured hull scrap you get when you dismantle the hull of the yellow 3-star drillship with your pickaxe. The part needs to be in a connected storage module. You can also get red (tier 4) scraps off other 3-star drillships, but the drop chance is lower. The Armoury drillships have a higher chance of better upgrades. Click edit on the core stats panel and you can see what level of upgrades the enemy drillship has. If it doesn't have what you're looking for, it's not worth demolishing all the modules.

@sibrit the quest is sometimes bugged, the game doesnt notice the existance of a drillship with the part needed. I just looked into my produktion and was able to produce the tech IV part. Quest still sayed that there is no drillship with required part. After the part had been produced, the quest was cleared.

Ah. Yes. I've had it report that there is no suitable drillship within distance when I'm standing next to a yellow 3-star armoury one. However, I no longer play with the tutorial enabled, so I don't get those any more.
