You've given them 36 hours to respond. May you never be in a position where someone is as strict to you as you are to them.
Of course it will be possible to redefine controls.
Just got a response from developers - the functionality is already there - when the launcher appears, it has a "Display" and "Input" tabs. Switch to the Input tab and redefine your controls as much as you want.
Kudos.
Changing options through launcher is impractical and we're moving away from it, input is last part. If you're wondering why bother with launcher in the first place, it was there for us as part of the engine so we used it.
Iv'e used quite a few of these launcher ones, and they don't work properly. i tried to put in arrow keys for WASD and it would not accept them. hope yours works for all keybinds.
Hello, Retributionz, I just tested it in the Alpha. Apparently, both WASD and arrow keys are fully working (I checked) and are even predefined by developers to work, so you should be fine playing left-handed.
The actions: fire, jump, sprint, use, inventory, map, weapon switch (1-5, next, prev), ammo swap
And thank you. so nice to find a helpful developer for once :) x x
Jump: Delete
Weapons: 1-5 on keypad, 0 - empty hands
Ammo swap: Page Up
Use: Insert
Inventory: Backspace
Sprint: Right shift
Existing:
Map: M
Movement: Left,Right,Up,Down
Ammo swap: Middle mouse
We already use mouse wheel for item switch when building, not sure if we keep it like that or not.
Maybe I should keep ammo switch only on mouse middle and use PgUp/Down for weapon switch?
What key are you using to close menus? ESC is usually fine for right handed, but quite far for left handed.
Thank you :) x x x
i never used keypad for moving, arrow keys are so much easier, plus you get access to keypad easier. and the keys above arrowkeys, but i suppose it's different for some lefty's but for me and a few friends of mine we all use arrow keys for movement. :)
