What does COG stand for?
Throughout the game, the robots that continually menace you as you explore the island, the COGs, always have their collective name shown in all-caps, as if it was an acronym like C.O.G. What does that mean? And while we're on the subject, what does Adranos have to do with their plans?

Cog isn't an acronym but a race.

Ok, but I can assure you that COG means nothing. I'm translating this game and the devs gave me a file with this information:
What is COG?
- enemy race of beings
- not an acronym or name of political party
- eg. like Cylons in Battlestar Galactica

@Gofastmike For now there is no specific idea behind the COG name. The reason why we pocked the cog word is because mechanical wheels have cogs and all units are sort of part of one big system. Once story gets more space for development I am sure there will be more lore added behind the COG name.

Unfortunately some beings can't take answers are what they are. There is no Deep Thought having designed something greater which they will build to answer what the real question was all along. Have a Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster and relax.
