Lufia 2 - A Fabulous (Copyrighted) Game
I suppose the title of your product, at least, is apropos given the extent to which you have deliberately lifted assets from Lufia 2: Rise of the SInistrals. Moreso, that you attempted to pass them off as an original work. These are not a part of any official RPGMaker suite --- given that the team at Kadokawa creates their own art for use as stock --- nor are they public domain; they remain the intellectual property of the original development studio and their respective artists.

By way of comparison...

As seen on your storefront page.

The initial image result on Google when searching for "lufia 2 dungeon"

It's that blatant. The door, spikes, wall and ground texture, bushes, both cut and whole, vines, pillars and crate are all taken directly from Lufia.

Steam may well be something of a cesspool at the moment, with the lax standards allowing dross to overwhelm any work of merit, with asset-flippers and thieves (such as yourself) skulking in the shadows, undermining the efforts of dedicated indies and professional developers alike who once saw publication on Steam as something to which they should aspire... but God help me if I'm going to stand idle as yet another profits.

I have taken the liberty of reporting your game to Steam. I have also contacted Square-Enix who (hopefully) will file a DMCA notice against you.

Here's hoping your no-effort "games" are removed from the platform entirely.

Hello,

this guy is a fraud trying to sell work of 3rd parties.

I am the creator of this game. And yes, it sure contains rips and lufia2 tileset. Good notice on that. This is very old game that I created in RPG Maker just for fun. This game is not meant to be "sold" in the first place. It was made for RPG Maker community as freeware and fun spare time project.

Original project is free fan game, https://rpgmaker.net/games/1292/. Gameplay length is 20minutes. This guy just collected freeware games from various sources and uploaded them to Steam for cheap prices.

I sent ticket and reported this guy. I am aware my old fan project is using lufia tileset, but it was never meant to left gates of Rpg maker community. I am willing to remove the project entirely.

I can't remember if I knew it back then or where I got that RM tileset. It was from times when I just created small games for fun in spare time. And I couldn't drawn or do any form of art.

all the best,

Thank you for elaborating on the game's origin and the extent to which this self-proclaimed "publisher" is, well, absolute scum. I'm sorry you were caught up in this and hope your fan-game was well received. It's always nice to meet another admirer of classics like Lufia.

Thanks, as well, for contributing your own report. With any luck, this can be resolved by the administrators at Valve.

Yes, do not worry. I took action myself and removed the original download as well.

https://rpgmaker.net/manage_games/1292/

I removed download of this game because someone else tried to sell it over Steam.
Reality is that this game contained lufia tileset, I can't remember if I knew this when I created this game or not. Fact is that it got "commercialized" by scammer. I reported this guy and due to this reason I decided to take action myself and to remove this free original file here as well.
------------
This game was free, just for RM community and for fun.

This is really, really, really bad.

Some guy just dowloads projects, and then sell them as his own? That is ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

I really hope you have a really good lawyer and are willing to sue.

I'll forward the information to two or three people, so they'll be aware.

I just saw it is already known by the staff of RPG Maker. And there is a warning out on rpgmakerweb.
Aythadis Oct 24, 2018 @ 6:22pm
Also reported it. Let's get this useless waste of space Dev banned from Steam.

I love the irony that this guy happens to pirate a game actually named "It's good to be a pirate"
Shattered mind Oct 25, 2018 @ 12:58pm
they switched the game....here's hoping Valve Still bans them though, they release nothing but garbage asset-♥♥♥♥♥ anyway so nothing of value would be lost.:steamfacepalm:

He uploaded a bunch of new games today. This developer drop games faster than I make #2... (And I'm a pretty quick pooper...) :p

Sad for the original dev who erased his own game :( Would have liked Steam showed him a lil bit more love.

It is not even his game that is offered anymore. The uploader has replaced it with a completely diffrent game. I wonder who made that one...

It looks suspiciously close to Eagle Flight, but without a gameplay trailer it's hard to tell just from the screen shots: https://store.steampowered.com/app/408250/Eagle_Flight/

Wait, I think I can make out "Equilibrium" in the top part of one of the screen shots. Pretty sure that's it.

Someone already asset-flipped it on Steam at least once:
