How do I set up a sleep time on the Alarm Clock?

I saw in the Wiki you can use an Alarm Clock to set a time to wake up, and I have one set next to my bed, but I get no prompt from it besides "TAKE" or anything different when I go to sleep. How do I go about setting the alarm?

you need to have it in your inventory and then go to sleep
its like a wrist watch with an extra funtionality

Like PrueferAuge wrote, you need to pick up the Alarm Clock and have it in your inventory. Once you have the Alarm Clock in your inventory, you stand next or in front of your bed, set your sleeping time via slide and then click on sleep.

I agree that its a bit bizarre how they describe it a full size alarm clock yet you need to carry it around to work. It really should be renamed to something like 'Watch with Alarm' or something similar to fit how it functions.
