selling gold items

haven't played in like a year... but passmore can't seem to buy my gold watches anymore

who buys gold items now? tons of gold stuff no one to sell to tho and i need money lol

Passmore can sometimes afford lower quality gold rings. Especially stolen gold rings (which lowers its value).

I think there's a way to blacksmith some crappy gold items on an anvil, although I don't have the recipes for rings and pendants yet. This would open up the option of smelting down expensive gold pots, urns and tea kettles in a furnace into gold bars and then reforging them into less expensive items that are within Passmore's budget.

afaik passmore is still the only guy who can buy gold items, or well, gold rings at least, as long as his shop is freshly restocked so he has enough cash to do so. If he's not buying rings, make sure to unstack them first, or wait for him to restock. I think can also buy out some of his stock to inflate his wealth temporarily and sell like, maybe an gold amulet to him.

As for fancier gold stuff, pretty sure it's always been the case that they are paperweights since they cost so much nobody can afford them; wish you could decide to sell stuff at a loss.

Only other thought is maybe the souvenir shop that I didn't notice was a thing forever since it's like never open? They sell jewellery, but cheap ♥♥♥♥, so I never bothered checking if they could buy; assuming they only have a tiny amount of cash on hand.

My assumption is we'll be able to unload the more expensive ♥♥♥♥ once the bazaar gets added.

Sp basically im stuck with 100+ high quality gold watches.....

gah should put more hours into grinding before this update it seems.. atleast i was able to sell watches then....

I just found a gold plate worth 33000. I noticed no one wanted to buy it and came here.

I guess it's basically worthless.

You were never able to sell the expensive gold items, passmore has always had a limit that hovers around gold rings, unless your talking about like, pre-rework-from-ground-up times, which I joined after.

nah you use to be able buy some stuff from him that would make his wallet big enough to buy the 200k watches but in the version that made sure thats impossible to do you will always buy things in oc from him no longer RM and sell to him in RM so you can never infat is RM account anymore making it possible to sell the 200k watches to him


honestly go check any of the posts for like a year ago all will tell you the same thing sell gold watch to passmore to make money lol

You can absolutely still do that though. Sell him stuff, then buy it back, you're basically converting OC to RM, but you can get his money up high enough to sell a gold watch. You just have to have enough OC to keep buying stuff back so he gets enough RM to afford it. Silver watches are helpful for getting his balance up high enough

nah doesn't work anymore i already tried sold and re bought lockpicks like 20 times still wouldn;'t work (use to only have to do that 10 times)

I did the math on this, check my other thread. It's not worth it. You'd be better off just selling lockpicks or watches. You're basically just selling the gold for the money you just gave him.

gold rings and stolen gold items are the only things he can buy, when his budget is green you can sell him something worth up to around 950 RM, which the gold ring fits into, just check his inventory every day and you should be able to sell it
I've financed half of my renovations just from selling gold stuff to him, unfortunately non-stolen gold items that aren't rings are pretty much impossible to sell, someone in bazaar is probably going to be able to buy them eventually once the next update comes out

You can try and re-forge them into golden mechanical watches (watch blueprint should be in one of the money exchange apartments but i dont remember which apt exactly)

there are a couple of lathes you can use around the map - one of them is in the mines, service area generator room
