stolen backpacks are useless?

Sooo obviously they function as they should. However in terms of stealing them for the purpose of selling. They are almost entirely useless it seems? Like you cant sell them while their stolen, and in order to "wash" them it would take forever! I have not even been able to wash the damn things because every time I try to do it, the machine bugs out and restarts the progress while CONSUMING my dish soap!!!

Thats not even factoring the fact that the machine locks away my items and prevents me from using the thing! What are our options supposed to be?

why would you need to use it if you wanne sell it?

i had no problem washing one, but even if you use a stolen one and loose it, right now all backpacks share the inventory, which means you cannot loose the items, the next backpack you grab will have the items too.

what exactly bugs out?
it just resets midwash?
or you mean still stolen?

For me the fail chance is 100% when attempting to wash the stolen backpack, I assume it is the same for you?

Using the industrial dishwasher, you can definitely clear them of the stolen tag.

the standard washing machine can't wash a backpack unless your cleaning skill is very high I think

I've washed plenty a backpack. Some 3 at a time haha. Then I sell them to the OS Shop or in the mines. 1kOC per

Get the commercial dishwasher. You can’t wash backpacks with standard anymore. It’s like 2k rm, but worth every penny. Fail chances are decreased and it can wash three items at once with less time. Most importantly, it can wash the backpack

As a sidenote stolen backpacks are great for increasing your cleaning level. I ran between 2 apartments in the Kolhola building that each had washing machines and washed a stolen backpack in each one. I stole the dishwashing powder from the same units.
The dishwashers are safe to store items so nothing ever despawned and since the fail rate is 100% it just spits the stolen backpack after each wash so you can wash it again. I got to level 10 cleaning within a few in-game weeks.
