Some numbers for you regarding the mines.

A lot of people seem to be struggling with making money in the mines. I am making bank in there. Trick is to buy a small jaw crusher (or multiple crushers) from the guy sitting outside OS mine services in the service area. The crusher costs 1320 RM. The investment will be worth it if you crush crush crush.

*Prices indicate a full stack of 8*

Uncrushed Iron Ore Rocks- 4.80 RM
Crushed Iron Ore- 9.60 RM

Uncrushed Gold Ore Rocks- 300.00 RM
Crushed Gold Ore- 880.00 RM

Uncrushed Rocks- 1.60 RM
Crushed Rocks = Gravel- 4.00 RM
Crushed Gravel = Sand- 11.20 RM

Uncrushed Limestone Rocks- 1.60 RM
8 Bags of Limestone- Use for crafting or sell for 144 OC

Uncrushed Asbestos Rocks- 3.20 RM
4 Bags of Asbestos- Use for crafting or sell for 208 OC

*Make sure you sell the ore using your tipping wagon. You will not get RM if you sell it to the office guy in person and what he pays is not worth it. Dump your ore into the processors, grab your ticket and turn it in.

*Dynamite and pickaxes can be looted throughout the mines. Check the little brown sacks and the red tool lockers for best results. If you don't have enough, leave and come back when stuff has respawned.

*As of now, you can take the ore from the claims chutes and process it yourself in your crushers. When you sell it you keep all the money :)

*You will need to open up your tenement tunnel and get at least the first upgrade to place and use your crushers inside the mine. plus you get easy access in and out of the mine. It will save you a lot of time.

*Gold ore nodes are very small and can be hard to spot. Take your time going through the mines. You don't want to miss them!

*The orange mushroom farmer is a great place to sell mushroom alcohol.

Getting set up and making good money in the mines is a process so be patient. Invest in it when you can and don't expect to be rolling in cash right away. Its a great addition to the game and I am enjoying it quite a lot. I believe it will get even better with time.

This is really useful, having previously written off mining as pointless based on the raw ore prices.

Note that iron ore rock processes to iron ore and gravel, so fully processed a stack is worth 20.8RM. Rocks process to gravel in a ratio of 5:3, so a stack of rocks is only worth 6.72RM processed into sand. Asbestos rock also gives gravel in a ratio of 5:2, so 4.48RM in addition to what you get from the asbestos itself.

Any information about spawns of gold ore nodes? Related to mining skill? Any way to increase fail chance in ore processing to increase mining skill gain? Any ore processing possible besides the small ore crusher for ~1300RM?

Being drunk increases failure rates, and can get mining up to 10 in a couple of hours. The top tier mines upgrade adds a better ore crusher.

A small but useful tip to add: The locked red lockers, once unlocked, will give items that are not tagged as stolen. Only picking them open the first time is considered illegal, and most of them are in locations where it cannot be seen anyway, meaning you get paid full for the items you take from them.

You can extract gold ore with the lab bench. Haven't done it yet idk the specifics but I saw the recipe.

I did this with 10x Electronic Waste and got a Pure Gold Nugget which I have yet to be able to sell. Haven't tried with the ore unloaders in the mine yet, but Passmore didn't seem to have enough cash to purchase it.

Nice, good info man. I am still struggling to get dynamite though. Short on lock picks and just doesn't seam to want to spawn on top of the red tool box's any more. lol

If you got the recipe for lockpicks you can use the drill press in deekula b to craft them. I think you just need scrap metal.

Chemical lab, it's expensive though, using resources that cannot be crafted or purchased.
