Is the game actually scary?
Hi,
I am really interested in the game, but I saw the "horror" tag on steam and it’s holding me back from purchasing it. I dont want to look up a playthrough since i would like to go in blind to the story/mechanics, so I would really appreciate if someone could help me out with this question.

Is there’s any actually scary parts of the game, other than being dystopian? For example, a jump scares in a form of something jumping out on you, or making a loud screaming noise with big teeth or even stalks or chases after you while intense music is playing and its clear it’s there to scare you?
So basically, does the game actually has core horror parts or anything gore-y?
(Friendly, but scary/wierd looking creatures are not an issue)

Thanks for the help in advance :)

There are some creepy areas of the game. The only part that could be scary is only frighting for a brief time. Your screen turns black and there is a black figure with red eyes standing in front of you, but there is no noise and you learn that they are people between dimensions. These scenes only happen if you chose to activate them with a device later in the game. There is a jump scare involving a blue rubber duck appearing on your screen and turning to look at you, but it isn't that bad, but this only happens if you pickup this duck. The only truly horror area that I have found is in a tunnel that is locked in a basement of one of the buildings. But this area is only an Easter egg referencing another game. There are several dead bodies scattered throughout the game but they are more disturbing than scary. But overall there relay isn't any truly horror aspects of the game and the ones that are in the game, aren't to bad. I also rely don't like horror games and I cant say that this game is a horror game. Just steer clear of tunnel B2.

Yes I agree with the other person who replied with the informative comment, this game does have some slightly unsettling or disturbing parts to it, but so far nothing I have encountered has been "Scary" just a little disturbing, although judging from the unfamiliar things mentioned by the previous commenter, I am not as far into it as they so perhaps I have yet to find something more scary (I.E. I have not yet gone into the tunnels.

However regardless of any potentially unsettling scenes moments of this game I would 100% recommend you play it, it is in my opinion fantastic; I am not as much of a fan of INFRA from what I have seen of it (This games prequel), but Obenseuer is amazing, the scavenging and renovation part of the game is the best so good, my biggest issues in playing have been potential fungal disease which can be an endgame if you can't deal with it, and gathering enough RM (Real Money) for renovation final payments, other than those two things the game is great, although they need to hurry up and complete some of the unfinished quests I am really eager to get through.
