UPDATE 05/06/2024: AV didn't flag or block anything in the reports. However, the "Click to Start" asset isn't showing, while clicking anywhere on the startup screen automatically crashes the game.
I've also experienced disappearing assets on a different dev's game, and on a different engine, so it definitely seems to be something on Stencyl's side (in your case.) Have you had a chance to contact their support department?
Thanks again for your patience, teamwork makes the dream work!
The passive spiral -nosis also seem to crash the game for me (is the speed based on Helen's level or mouse level maybe and I've passed the limit ? )
ETA - Possibly related my hospital is marked as ready with the area cleared but there doesn't seem to be an event there to access, there's no yellow bubble and clicking on the building goes to the facility interface.
Unfortunately the -nosis animations are pretty large in filesize, so it may be the same crash as with the monster girl catching crash; the game can't handle loading that large of a file on your computer.
Edit - Actually thinking about it, I have 5 or 6 extra girls and since it appears the girls have to be stored in memory at all times to access their profile and costumes that might be enough to do it, trying to load the -nosis animations might just push me over the edge. I'll try the monster girl game and see if it crashes now.
Edit2 - Bingo. Seems like the last 1-4 girls is what puts you over the limit. The capture game crashes now too. I'm not sure why that would cause an issue though ( I have plenty of memory and my CPU and GPU don't seem stressed ).
You should be able to change the default somewhre in your project settings, though if you go over the default 1.5GB you need to make 64-bit JRE a dependency because the 32-bit one can't handle it.
You should probably leave a decent amount of wiggle room if you're planning on adding more girls.
It seems like this is only a temporary issue too, once the files are loaded the memory use goes back down. even with everything set to maximum (Full Screen, -nosis and running the monster girl game it drops back to ~1405 MB after everything is loaded ).
Edit - I bet this is responsible for some of the start up crashes too, because if you're in this situation near the end game an had the -nosis already set, you could get stuck in a position where you can't change the settings because the game crashes on load because you have too many characters now and run out of memory.
Going to Elkantar menu makes the game crash.
Summoning DH makes the game crash.
Sometimes it might happen that the game crashes for no reason, after a bunch of time passing.
Pretty frustrating when you wanna get all the girls.
Edit -
Town Hall's function doesn't work ; there's no interaction. You only can put one girl, not the 2 others for some mysterious reason.
The game can't finish updating process in steam client:
"UPDATE ERROR. Access to files is denied"
Raven has a harem-lord/ -lady gender-swap issue: When gender is seet to male the CG in the profile and story show the correct gender but the text"balloons" talk about the other gender and vise versa. In the gallery the picture in the list shows the other gender than is set in settings.
Hi, can you fix the error with updating? I can't even launch the game.
Go to the Games install folder and run the game as Admin.
EDIT: It finally appeared for me. It looks like Steam had no idea there was an update and didn't bother downloading anything until earlier this month. I had wondered if that was the case, but couldn't get it to check the servers no matter what I did (like verify game files and such). Though I admit I never tried reinstalling the game or anything because I didn't want to lose my progress.
