Treasure maps

Are they bugged or something? Despite being exactly on the red crosses and digging with a rare shovel i never ever uncover the treasure and yes i always wait for it to say "Treasure is not in this location" before moving on. It's so frustrating because i couldn't be more in the middle of the cross even if i tried and it still fails and so does every other square around me. Then to add salt to the wounds my damn shovel keeps breaking and it costs me 9k to repair it and I know for a fact the♥♥♥♥♥♥in those chests aren't going to be worth the 27k or what ever I just spent on the last one I tried to get before I gave up and trashed the map. Gigantic waste of time. Please fix this terrible mechanic.

Appreciate it. Could do with some sort of in game explanation as to how they work also since you just get a shovel and a map with a red cross and when you dig at the red cross you don't get any treasure. It really could use a revamp.

When it comes to treasure maps, the treasure will always be top left side of the x. That's where the treasure will be 80% of the time.

Update: I have since found out from a GM in game that the way it works is that there is a 5x5 grid where the red X shows and the treasure is situated in one of the blocks within this grid. Just a shame this game does not tell you this information any where and it took a GM making an in game announcement for me to learn this. All information prior was a matter of Chinese whispers from other players just speculating on how it is done since the game never tells you. I have had people speculate that it was a 20 x 20 grid, that it's always in the top left of the X, that it's completely random every time you dig etc etc.

Seriously you need to put this information in game or some one needs to make a Steam Guide on how to treasure hunt.

Also please remove shovels being able to break from the game. Thanks.

I'm sorry, good friend. But i am already max level and the treasure maps do not offer the "best gear". Of course if you played this game you would know that.
