Hi there!
I am sorry this happens to you as well. Have you tried the suggestions within this thread, like disabling Hyper-5?
- Ubisoft Support
Starlink uses a version of Denuvo that doesn't play nice with virtual machine platform and wont run when its installed gives the error (this application cannot run under a virtual machine) even though its not running in any type of virtual machine.
Ubisoft's response of game has been out of development so there wont be any patch is total (BS) Child of light has been out of development for awhile also and yet a patch was released recently. they could fix this if they wanted to. BTW none of there other games have this problem.
Getting this on a VM host, I am not going to disable Hyper-V. Game is running one the local machine and not on the VM. NO OTHER GAME gives this error on my device. This should really be fixed. The answer should not be disable Hyper-V, especially when other game function just fine.
Yeah, this is BS... Game launch just fine with Ubisoft Connect app. Bought through steam a long time ago. Also playtime is way over 2hrs and not possible to get a refund. Really enjoy the game, but you guys need to allow it to work through Steam, just like it does through the Ubisoft Connect app.
As much as I enjoy your products, this is just a lazy way to do thing and just terrible way to support your customers. Without your customers, you won't be able make the money to pay the bills. We are starting to see that a lot of Devs/Game publishers don't care about their products, just the Cash flow.
i tried that and it still gives the error
So, I'm reluctant to even buy it. Has this issue affected rigs with Intel CPU only, or is the issue expected to affect AM CPU as well ?
September 2024
Leaks have suggested that Nintendo will launch the Switch 2 in or around September 2024. In 2024, astronomical summer lasts from June 20 to September 22.
