Storage takes up to much space. A third option is needed or even an upgrade option to allow more storage to be stored.
The game itself is just too grindy. I am on normal and without the use of guides or anything became a Jack of all Trades. Much harder than specializing, and that's fine. But when looking to buy more land just to put up one extra shelf for anything, while also fighting with the debt it's just a slog. I went from enjoying my time with the game to now feeling like its a chore because I'd like to get the achievements. Mass buying resources to stare at the craft table as the tick bar crawls on its belly over gravel to get to level 10.
The placing of items should be like build view. The small circle of dropping things down is more restrictive and annoying compared to just being able to set things down. Especially when your shelves are bigger than the circle of your drop locations.
I like the game and will do it again on very hard. But goodness as a completionist the achievement to reach level 10 is not a challenge but a practice of patience with tedium.
Welcome to the game and the community! It's a fantastic game to turn on and chill with, if you don't have unrealistic expectations.
Bugs are annoying lol. No disagreements here.
The ledger in the stores you worked at were created because the real world has an economy dictated by the laws of real-world economics, resource distribution, consumer needs, etc. The economy in this video game is 100% RNG. A ledger would not be any benefit in this game lol, but you can certainly make one (as the owners of the stores you worked at almost certainly did :P )
This is 100% intended behavior. Look at your stock throughout the day to avoid this; if your shelves are completely devoid of a certain item, there's a pretty good chance someone will come to the desk and ask for it lol.
Also intended. The game is not difficult, the only thing that slows progression is space. If you reduce the cost of space (storage, or otherwise), you make the game easier. Also, the storage shelves in this game are the same size as the display shelves, but hold much more product. Not sure what the problem is at all lol.
I've never had an issue, but I've also kept it close to the front of the store; it makes more sense to stage a big order for someone at an easy-to-get-to place lol.
Intended behavior; it's not an economics simulator, it's an extremely simple, pickup & play shop sim. Specifically about the quality recommendation, that's actually EXACTLY what the notice board is lol...
I'll hammer these out quick:
-The controls are explained in the settings
-Overstocking, by definition, is unnecessary; stock what you think you'll sell lol
-Wall decorations (and rugs, anything that doesn't occupy floor tiles), while easy to place, cost more per point of appeal than those other decoration items. So yes, but there's a caveat.
-Yeah, you need space lol. Employees, no, but yeah you miss potential sales by not displaying merchandise.
-Employees stocking the same item/rarity is the intended effect. You can change it by stocking the highest quality item/lowest quality item.
Just a couple of thoughts on some of the feedback:
- A ledger is definitely something that we think would be a great addition to the game. A place where you can get insights in sales history and an overview of income/expenses.
- Crafting is sped up during the night to let you prepare for a new day of customers. During the day, crafting takes the intended amount of time to try and get clutch sales from customers that would otherwise walk away unsatisfied. Initially the game was not slowed down while crafting but that nearly always resulted in missing sales and generally felt bad.
- Late-game you can buy the storage basement which is an upgradeable piece of storage. The purpose of this piece is to reclaim store space at a premium. When progressing through Winkeltje it is important to balance floor space with storage capacity but nearing end-game this mechanic not that interesting to balance anymore.
Despite these issues I hope you still had a good time playing. :)
