Edit: Just to clarify, so far in 12 hours of game play I haven't seen this happen. A screenshot of your store layout may help because it may be a pathing issue.
Edit 2: funny story, I managed to get it to happen. I switched out an item as soon as a customer tried to grab it on accident. Broke his ai and he was stuck. Posted this in the discord tho
This here. If you don't want to reset and lose a day's work then tab out and back in to the game a couple times, the customer will bounce to the side a bit at a time and eventually turn enough to walk out of the shop. Thanks for this!
And @ the sarcasm regarding commenting to an old post; I found this thread via the first page of my google search so apparently this is something people are still seeking and therefore justifies continuing the conversation.
Move the stuff where clients are getting stuff to avoid they pass over that place again.
I hope a fix will came, that sux.
My initial results seem promising, but it's a MAJOR overhaul of a system that's been in the game for years, so it's not something I just want to release without a lot of testing.
My customers get stuck and bug out the closing time. Everytime I have to replay that day over again.
I'd suggest an override feature for this problem. Kick out the customer (if they carry anything give it back to inventory) and force the day to end?
On Steam, there are 2 branches to play on. The default branch (v9119) contains the old pathfinding solution which is based on nav meshes. The unstable branch (v9302) contains the new pathfinding replacement which is based on grids.
If you have an issue with customers getting stuck, it would be helpful to know which version you are on. If you are on v9119, then you could try playing on the unstable branch (v9302). Be sure to make a backup of your .shop file before you do this. Shop files are in the Saves folder in the install directory.
Once we are confident that this new pathfinding replacement is an improvement (customers not getting stuck anymore), we will push this change to the default branch on Steam for everyone to enjoy. :)
