MAJOR Bug During Dream Sequences...
During the dream parts of the game, standing still causes the game's visuals to slowly increase into a state of madness. The colors break and begin flashing, everything speeds up, and fps drops the longer you stand still. It all resets once you start moving again and remains fine as long as you are actively moving.

For some dreams, it is important to be able to stand still and check on certain things, but this totally breaks those moments. I'm running on a GTX 1080ti with an i7-8700k @ 3.70GHz at 144 fps. I assume it is a problem with my refresh rate, but I tried limiting the game to 60 fps through the NVIDIA Control Panel and the problem remained.

Getting this too. i7-7700k/GTX 1080/2560x1440/144hz monitor. Video settings are Fantastic/Borderless/MSAA16x/VSync enabled/Anisotropic Filtering enabled. I'll see if playing around with any of these fixes it.

Visual bug?
During Somnium, when you stand still, the graphics begin to quickly distort, leaving a small portion of the middle of the screen rendered normally. Is anyone else getting this? Is it intentional?

It's a bug, several other people have reported it already in the "Technical Support" sub-forum.

Same here. i5-7600K, GTX 970, 1080p 144hz, settings on all high with vsync and filtering.

I'm also experiencing crashes during dialogue in the first dream sequence.

Same problem, appears to be linked to the higher framerates as mentioned.

Is there any way we could possibly limit the frame rate of just this game without having to change our PC settings? Would have been nice if they had given us that setting in the options in-game.

Turning off V-sync and Ansiotropic filtering seems to have solved the problem for me.

Great Find!!! Turning off these two settings lets you keep high framerates without issues!

Interesting. I tried this yesterday but it didn't seem to do anything. I'll have to give it a try again.

Turning off vsync and filtering solved the graphics issue for me, the FPS is forced to 60 instead. I still crash quite frequently though, so I'll put it off for a while :V

R.E. Our possible fix, now my game is capped at 60fps when I'm pretty sure it wasn't before. Not sure if this is a "me" bug or linked to the video settings somehow.

Okay, I did a LOT of testing on this and let's just say the results were extremely... weird. Nothing worked until I put the game on lowest settings, vsync/af off/ windowed/720p. If I bumped it to everything low/off to 1440p fullscreen, it worked. If I then changed the settings to highest and vs/af off, I would get the bug. So I then reverted to 1440p fullscreen/lowest settings/vs-af off as that was the best working settings I would get... but I got the bug again. If I turned it back to 720p lowest settings and THEN went back to 1440p, I was fine. For all of these, I had vs/af off. So uhhh...

Lowering all settings to fullscreen+absolute lowest fixes it.
IMMEDIATELY changing to higher resolution fixes it.
Increasing AA/Quality from lowest to highest BREAKS it.
Reverting does not fix UNLESS I set everything to lowest again and then re-launch at higher resolution.

No freaking clue what's going on.

EDIT: Going into nvidia control panel and changing my refresh to 60hz fixed it. All other settings work fine now.

No, it caps at 60 for me too.

At least on the good side, I don't think this bug will be "too hard" to fix. It's probably due to the maths relating to "pausing" the animations when the character stops moving not planning for a number larger than 60, so just increasing forever. The rest of the game seems to run really stable at 144hz.
