Is there a map?
Just started and can't figure out if there is a map I can see or not

Also, how do I cast spells? I click on 'mage' or wahtever but it doesnt let me cast the spell.
Also what does the priest exorcist skill do?

To bring up the map just push "A"

Do u need a new map every time when u go into the dungeon like in elmitage gothic? Or do u just need 1 map kit for the whole game like it was in wiz 7?

one map per covered level, they are not consumed

To point out the topic--While LoLS has an automap, it's not a true automap. It is up to the player to acquire in-game maps, either from the item shop or as a random loot drop, to make effective use of it. That being, there's always hand drawing your maps on graph paper if you're too stubborn to get the maps yourself.

How does the automap work? I want to know so I can stop flailing around in the dungeon hoping I can get out before a TPK happens.

Okay, so buy a map from the item shop, and when in dungeon, press the A key. No more flailing.

Also wondering for exorcising part, guess it work in a certain type of foes? Drawing maps lol, was freaked out when was lost in first floor and dint know for map. Also bought 3 in case xd.
For mage thing, i guess you spent your mage points (must be zero for you, need to rest in inn, free for mages, lucky ones).
While i am at it, 2 questions
Saw a turning skull in a room whose doors were creepy (some gate shouldnt be open, Exit) etc, guess its our dear reaper?
Second one: wich traits (skills, whatever) are needed to make a thief? My team is badly balanced and would like like a ranged fighter (sling is expensive xd and seems cant throw daggers, maybe big swords?)

Drawing maps is more trouble than its worth if thats your thing you'll have "Fun" in one of the later maps.

You get magic charges back on rest or level up.

The game warned you for a reason with the skull.

You need 12 Agi and must be evil or neutral to make a Thief. You likely won't get a ranged weapon until 3 or 4 floors in. You'll want a Bishop though because they can identify items, you need 12 Int, Pie and be Good or Evil to make one.

Didnt approach the skull because still greenhorn and seem a bit onimous for me.
No ranged weapons uh, damn having Samurai in the back isnt the best, but i already have Bishop.
12 Agi mmm shouldnt be that long, thanks for everything. (if i approach the skull it will triggers a fight or the reaper (or whatever it is here) will stalk me for a while? Should probably refrain to try uh. Not at my lvl xd.
Uh just to be sure, i probably know the answer but; can we "recruit" (or whatever) enemies like in Elminage? Summoner was a chore but maybe will see interesting guys. But i guess we cant.

Early it doesn't matter whos front, just put whoever got better HP rolls. But once you get armor Samurai can wear much better stuff than a Bishop can.

You can just roll up a fresh Thief right away if you want one. They are nice for boxes and are better fighters than casters are but certainly not required either. Their big thing is no Dual Wield penalties, think you need to wait to get a Mace or Shortsword for them to shine though.

Its not possible to win that starting out, maybe once you have actual gear its ok to try it.

I haven't noticed any recruiting or summoning outside of the inn.

Made an Elf just for having her using bow (if its in this game xd) and playing thief but yeah, turn Warrior and will need to grind for the thief thing.
Things are very expensive, should try floor 2 uh. Have some shortsword, so Thief are for close range? But then what, 2 mages and 1 priest behind ? The samurai is a waste behind .
Figured for recruiting thing, just it was tedious in Elminage but they had some interesting monsters there.

My team set up is as follows: Lord, Warrior,Samurai,Thief,Mage,Bishop. Well balanced and doing really well for now, up on floor 4.

Thief and Priest can be frontline or backline, so feel free to swap them around depending on what gear you have. I'd probably put the Samurai in the frontrow as you'll want to equip them once you get better gear. If you don't have a Bishop in your party you can keep a Bishop at the Inn to identify stuff. You probably noticed how expensive the store is for identifying and Bishops do it for free.

Have a bishop but she has like 20 hp (will try floor 2 soon but yeah, want all my front fighters having shortswords), she is toasted if in front, Lord is for later , only have 1 samurai , 3 warriors and 1 mage. I better remenber the Bishop identify things, dont need points for this? Its just the usual grinding in the start. At least want crappy gears for all bodies parts (at least for fighters).
Halfshell Jan 20, 2020 @ 5:16am
If your party is: Samurai, Thief, Priest, Bishop, Mage, Mage I would have them in that order myself. Priests have better HP rolls and can use better armor than Bishops can. For some reason I assumed you were using a Warrior this whole time so I was a little confused.

Grind if you want to but I will say I've had 0 reason to grind so far 6 floors in. Some things can 1shot someone but it happens rare enough that its not really a problem.
