How does Wish spell work?
I still don't get how to use this spell. So it allow me to select specific effect but doesn't actually trigger that effect and instead does something else randomly.

This old GameFAQs thread claims there are 5 Wish spell effects, and when you cast it you get to choose from 3 out of the 5, and describes what the effects are:

https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/981422-wizardry-labyrinth-of-lost-souls/59403544

When you choose it, you will have the option to pick from 3 effects out of a pool of 5. Uses all of the caster's remaining lvl 8 mage spell points.

Maintain spell power(Never actually used this outside of reading the text, description says it blocks enemy spells, no idea if it crumbles like bishop magic wal or what)
Restore Spell Power (Other party members get their magic points restored)
Raise Spell Power (All party members do roughly double damage with spells)
Raise Dodge Power (All party members gain increased evasion)
Revival and healing (All party members healed/rezzed, only way to rez with no vit loss)

All can backfire for an opposite effect.

However, in my experience I am only offered three choices every time, for all characters who can cast it, no matter the class or how many casts are left or anything like that. The three I get are Restore Spell Power, Revival and Healing, and Maintain Spell Power, which actually seems to raise dodge power?

You know...it's possible this port is coded wrong, and it doesn't display the 3 choices being offered to you correctly, instead always saying the exact same thing.

Maybe that's the case. If it supposed to give 3 out of 5 randomly but selection doesn't change, it may be just a visual bug. But it still makes this spell kinda useless because its impossible to guess the right effect..

Such a good spell it was... but now it's unusable!
