SR2_PC.EXE FIX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ok so.... there is 1 thing you could try, and it worked for me so just do this!

goto steam folder on C (or somewhere else where you installed steam)

go to: steam apps
go to: common
go to: saints row 2
find: SR2_PC.EXE
right click "SR2_PC.EXE"
click "Properties"
go to: "Compatibility" tab
check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
chose "windows XP (service pack 3)"
check "disable visual themes"
check "disable desktop composition"
check "run this program as an administator"
click "apply"

Enjoy your game. :D

You don't need Gamespy to play the game. Unless you want to play in multiplayer, of course.

yes but with any gamespy game gamespy has to be running in order to play the game like the game medal of honor airbourn
Marcelo Sampaio Jan 26, 2015 @ 5:53am
My game is playing fine in here. Hell, there are 525 people playing this game ATM.

You DON'T need to have Gamespy running to play the game in Single Player.

ok whats your cpu sytem config then so 525 people are playing this game atm? im sure theres thousands that want to play but cant still with no actual support nor a fix that the dev instead telling us to fix it ourself in that case i demand a refund or a offical fix
Marcelo Sampaio Jan 26, 2015 @ 6:05am
You should ask for a refund, then. Unfortunately, this is a bad port, and it will NEVER be fixed, since Volition doesn't have the source code.

The game works well for some people, but it indeed works like crap (or doesn't work at all) for most people.

You have two choices: fix the game yourself or ask for a refund.

Since you clearly have no patience, I recommend the later.

I played this game for more than 70 hours, and it is one of my favorite games ever. But believe me: it took me LOTS of work just to make the game playable...
