You download the file and there should be an exe in the folder. Transfer it to the main directory and replace the exe file

I managed to make it work with steam. The reason why the gog works is because of security reasons. Steam seems to have some kind of protection but it works. Gog works best but it still works in steam

Thanks for sharing, This fixed me going from smooth framerate to 1fps after 30 minutes of playing.

Wow, this actually helps. DXVK + GotR + this patch = no crashes. This is as playable as this game can get, it seems. Still not 100% 60 fps, but most of the time it stays above 50

you download the file first, second you will see two files one with the main game exe file and the other a text file, third drag the sr2.exe file to the main directory, it will ask if you want to replace the file, click replace and you should be good

I am running integrated graphics. My problem was that the game would run fine but in 5 minutes or less the fps would drops down to 5 and stay there. This file seems to have solved that problem. If anyone else is using integrated, do a fresh install and replace the exe before starting.
