PSA: Go play this game on Xenia

Unless you're a real stickler for keyboard + mouse I strongly urge anyone who is looking to replay this game or experience it for the first time on pc to go download Xenia Canary. It's an xbox 360 emulator and it's far enough along at this point that you can comfortably play through the entirety of saints row 2 in it. And the DLCS. And saints row 1 if you want. I have yet to experience a crash and the performance is night and day compared to the original pc port. We might never see the idolninja patch for a long time at this point so don't let that hold you back from playing this gem of a game.

It's the best way to play Saints Row 2 nowadays.
Also they're planning to add online to Xenia but haven't got UPnP implemented yet.

Meh. I tried it on Xenia and couldn't find a fix for the lights being visible through other objects. I've noticed texture flickering too. After trying out the game on PC and capping it to 30 fps, it's honestly pretty stable and don't notice the same graphical issues that I had with Xenia.

There's a Xenia patch to disable those lights.
But anyway, PC version with GOG exe is stable enough, is easier to mod and you get to use SR 1.5 lighting mod for good graphics.

I played the first Saints Row on an emulator and it was so much harder then SR2 in no small part because I was constantly fighting the controlls.
