DXVK can help a lot of games, GTA 4 and Dead Space comes to mind as examples where there are clear benefits to using it but it's not a magic fix.
As for the PC patch that's anyone's guess, honestly Volition is in a bad place now because even though the new game flopped they did start taking pre-orders for the season pass. So there is an obligation to deliver that DLC content for a dead game while the only part of the community that's worth a damn as a consumer base is waiting for the SR2 patch. Deep Silver really is a terrible publisher.
yeah true or... under new management with new rights and new oversight they remaster saints row trilogy unlikely but can hope they do
i was just pointing out how sad it is that we are more likely to have a lot of other titles for the fps, crime genre than saints row ever recovering from the death of there franchise this year and the season pass pre order thing well i am sure people can get refunds as i don't remember what game it was but i do remember it was a PlayStation game from memory where it did so bad at launch and tanked the company that those that brought the season pass lol never got anything for it but a cancelled project & refunded & what the studio did so far with that content i think eventually got re released as a multiplayer map instead because they never finished it
Honestly except for the reboot, Gat out of Hell and the horrible Agents of Mayhem SR had a pretty good run so if it dies, it dies. The reboot kind of proved that there was not much else to do with the concept that hadn't been done before.
There are some bigger gaming tragedies out there, for example I consider Radical Entertainment's slow death under Activision a giant loss for the "sandbox crime" genre. As the developers of The Simpsons: Hit & Run and Scarface: The World is Yours that studio actually implemented some really interesting designs and created much better games than half the SR franchise. The cancellation of Scarface 2 might have robbed us of a true classic and a game that could have offered a real alternative to GTA's game design.
On the other hand there are some things to look forward to: with the Mafia remake Hangar 13 finally got what that franchise is about so Mafia 4 could be a worthy successor to the first two games.
that's true but i feel crime boss showed what saints row reboot could have been if done right even if they thought saints row as a franchise has run it's course i suspect GTA to be the same one day that it will get to a point where they go well the gameplay is the same as the last there's nothing new it's run it's course and then it'll be another dead genre like party games or point & click adventures in recent years

This seems to be a mission based co-op FPS / heist game similar to Payday and it's not open world. And this gameplay is really bad, genius bank robbers here don't wear masks, shoot half the city's population and the mechanics and animations make it look like a very cheap budget game (but to be fair it's not a 60 dollar title afaik). Seems like just another idiotic modern game to me but hey, maybe I'm wrong.
Edit: Aaaand it's Epic exclusive on PC too so lol, that's not great for a multiplayer game. Another one for the pile then.
yeah that one well the gameplay etc i think had potential even if most say what it lacks in gameplay is made up in visuals & story/cameos
better than what new saints row looked like i.m.o given the gameplay for that makes it look too fortnighty
and payday 2 is a best seller title and payday 3 is coming so perhaps saints row needed that a bit
lol and what would that be a hearty breakfast of toast, beans, eggs sausages etc jkjk
even a polished turd looks better than saints rebooted
