3rd Street Saint mission keeps crashing

Finally got the game to run with GOTR, Powertools and a Resolution tweak, made it out of the jail into the city. As i wanted to start the mission "3rd street saint" my game crashed. I reinstalled it, installed the mods again but it still kept crashing. I even changed the .exe to the uncut version but that didn't helped, game keeps crashing on the same point.

Anyone know how to help me? German and english pls.

Run as administrator? (right click on the exe and choose properties, then that option)

I don't know how likely that would be to help (probably unlikely) but it could be worth a try.

I saw in a different disscussion that setting compatibility to Vista SP2 can reduce/eliminate crashing for some people. This might be more likely to fix it, if you're lucky.

Can you get the game to run vanilla (without GOTR, Powertools and the Resolution tweak)?

I could play the game fine without any modifications at all and there were no permanent crashes--meaning there was nothing that kept crashing every time, just random crashes sometimes, mostly when starting missions.

If you can get it to run without any mods and see if that place still crashes or not, maybe someone here or at saintsrowmods would be able to better help you figure it out.

It could also be a problem you're experiencing due having the cut German version (it sounds like that's the version you have). I don't know if that's compatible with GOTR or not.

I don't know this for certain, but I think it's very unlikely that you can just add the uncut exe to the cut version and have it work right. I think there's way too much changed in the cut version and things would just end up going wrong at some point. Which is also why I don't know if GOTY can work with the cut version.

I've tried to run it vanilla the very first, but it kept crashing everytime after i tried to go through the door. So i looked through the internet for someone who made a patch and then i saw GOTR. I installed it, i came out of the jail but now im stuck on this specific mission. I tried to change the .exe to an US uncut, the game changed into english so i knew it worked. Then again, i installed GOTR and the game changed to german and now im stuck on the same mission again. xd

What I meant by changing the exe to uncut might not work, is that there will probably be places that the uncut exe will try looking for stuff that isn't in your censored version game files. If that were to happen it would probably result in a crash that happens every time in the same place.

I'd go ask about the crashing problem in the SR2 troubleshooting section of www.saintsrowmods.com. In a worst case scenario I've seen people take a save someone had at an always-crashing mission, and complete the mission for them so they could continue.

I don't have SR2 installed right now so I couldn't do that myself.

GotR is not compatible with the German version.

@IdolNinja is there an option in steam to download the english version? Or can my German steam client only download the German version?

It can only download the version for whatever region it is. As far as I know, there is no way around this.

I also attempted long ago to get GotR working with the censored German version, but was not able to do so.
