Run Kennels

I placed some Run Kennels and now the doors on all of the new and old ones I had are closed and won't open? Is this a bug or is my game broken?

I am having an issue where random kennels will not let me put food or water in them. Run kennels worked great when they were landscape orientation but not portrait orientation for example. Either all placed kennels work or none do it seems. At first I thought it was if I took down one and placed a new kennel there, but no. Brand new room and no working kennels. Not sure if it makes a difference if I build between days, during shift, or what.
