Run out of dogs super fast

I started the game with the 5 or so starting dogs you start the game with. I adopted them all out in the 2-3 days. I'm now sitting here with no dogs. No dogs are coming in. I've gotten 3 dogs in (I am on week 2 now) after the initial batch of dogs. That's it. I've adopted every dog out. I've had multiple days with 1 or no dogs. I keep getting money from donations so I have a massive shelter with dozens of empty kennels but not a single dog has come in since then to fill them. There's nothing to do to increase the number of dogs coming in from what I can see. No events to promote finding dogs. Every time I get 1 in it's adopted out by the end of the day. There is literally nothing to do. It's just stagnant. It's boring.

I know the devs are working on balancing dog/visitor spawn rate in the next patch. For now what seem to help is having empty kennels. I have 110+ Kennels and always seems to have 40+ dogs.
