Gold ore

I'm on dimension 6 over floor 590 (not crazy far IK) but I cannot find 5 gold pieces to make the 5 gold bars I need for building the adventurers guild. Am I doing something wrong?

I've boiled down to just taking 4 or 5 miners with a nurse and giving them a script that makes them transmute and mine the enemies, but have only managed to find 3 pieces of gold ore out of the 5 times I've run ALL my floors so far (thus +1000 Floors ran). Any advice is great, thanks.

Ore (and gear) drops are pretty crap below 1000, i'd recommend pushing to the last dimension instead. You can get there pretty quickly if you focus on it, just a couple days. Everything gets easier as you get further in the game. Grinding too much in early game isn't a good use of time.

I kind of figured which is why I jumped 2 dimensions just the other day, I was still on 4 lol. The altar to move on to the next dimension is not available right now to move on to dimension 7 yet, as soon as I see it I'll move on. Just wanted to build that last construction finally and my resources keep getting reset, figured since I was stuck now was a good time to do it.

I was finally able to get the 5 gold ore - I had to take in teams of 5 miners annd 1 nurse with all of them set to transmute enemies, multiple times, but it did work eventually.

All good, just keep pushing to warrior dimension. Once there the game really opens up. Just wait until you need Labradorite. :P

I'm currently doing my first attempt at unlocking Janitor as a playable character. Getting pretty close but it's a griiiiiiind.

Yeah, getting the Janitor is quite the grind indeed.

As far as the 5 gold bars: it took me a bit to find them as well, although I did not have to move dimensions to do so. I was (and still am) using a script on my Miner(s) that included the use of their L25 ability 'Transmute', which gave me a lot more chances per run to find the ore I needed.

Note that said skill costs 8 mana per use, so unless you are using a Mystic for refills it will be easy to run out between Fairy keys until you have the relevant relic(s) leveled a goodly bit.
