Uranium Ore
This needs a serious adjustment I think. I'm running with +238 ore find and +126 item find and after 12.5hrs with game speed up on and around 13,000 levels I get ......7 ore....7! That is absurdly low. I think this needs a serious look at as no other ORE is that rare..not even Obsidian

Don't know about the Ore Find stat, but you are running way too high Item Find. Search around on these forums and you'll find posts suggesting you keep IF on either 50 IF or anything below 80 IF.
sf_hope Aug 15, 2020 @ 11:14am
Actually the base IF you want is 80 according to the guy who made the game...the extra just comes naturally from what I'm using to ore farm...

and IF has NOTHING to do with my statement...so don't know why you are focusing on IF

The base rate is about 1 Uranium per 1000 levels, and I get 3-4 (presumably from Ore Find) when I run my mining team. I'm fine with that; it's nice to have something be rare, and Uranium isn't needed for anything important.

The only thing I can think of that you might be doing wrong is not unlocking mineshafts in your dungeon settings. Or starting below level 1501.

Item Find does indeed have nothing to do with Uranium, so you shouldn't have included that particular red herring in your post.

Apparently ore find doesn't affect the quality of the orenodes.

Like Lark above, I'm seeing somewhere near 1 uranium per 250ish levels running my miner team.

That's making sure I have scripts set right to transmute the last enemy every level except for when the only enemy is a resource carrier and with mine shafts turned on and making sure not to run area damage that can kill everything before only 1 is left to be transmuted.

If you're relying purely on ores that spawn normally on levels instead of transmuting almost every normal enemy level or running without mine shafts turned on, you won't see anywhere near as high a drop rate.

I made a guide which has a mining section. Maybe it'll help somebody.

That is super weird, I run with 6 Miners at level 900+ i'm getting 2 - 3 an hour.
sf_hope Aug 18, 2020 @ 8:01am
I run max ore find and transmute every level..have mines turned on, etc etc... I know what I have to do...and the drop rate is still ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥..period.

It's RNG

Also the drop rate is much better at higher floors,I start from floor 1000 and I finish whenever I get bored of the long runs and It's EZ pz . but rn doing a 48hours run pushing to level 260k . I don't need ores at the moment . maybe when my team will die when i reach 350k ...

To some extent, yes RNG is a factor.

But, considering OP is saying he's getting only 1 uranium ore in around 1,860 levels and myself and others running the right setup are seeing around 1 in 300 levels, RNG can't really be the only issue.

I could see RNG being accountable for maybe a 10% to 20% difference or even maybe in extreme cases a full doubling of the average levels per uranium but RNG causing 1/6 the drop rate over such a long run seems a bit hard to believe.

If I were going to place a bet on it, my guess would be OP was running with X set to murder every level with bosses and more than 1 normal enemy or even possibly just set to murder every level before miners get to even act.

Oh that explains everything . thank you for the info ♥ . well detailled explanations as usual . that's very helpful

Actually I use 5 miners and 1 Huntress, so I'm sitting at 220 ore find....I have script set to murder everything down to 1 normal enemy left and then transmute it, but if enemy is mini boss or janitor then they skip transmute and just kill it...I have Huntress because she brings up more mines than without her during the 3 warps you can choose from and she brings up another mine around 50% of the time...which increases the mine levels that uranium can show up in....I'm only losing out on 18 ore find so 220 out of 238 is fine by me...

Right now I'm sitting at 6 uranium ore out of 3,600 levels.

Thanks for saying that.
I 've been doing it the other way 'round (transmute then murder), which is more likely to put the transmuted ore ahead of any natural ore lodes, and when that happens the miners ignore the natural one for no good reason.
I'll change it to your way and add about 1% to ore recovery (every little bit helps).
If I can figure out how...

There you go, that's 3 times the rate you reported in your OP.

I'm almost 5k levels deep in a mining run today and seeing slightly lower than my average drop rate at 11 in 4750ish levels.

I started at level 10k which is lower than I normally start though. Usually I start around 20k jsut to squeeze more essence out of the run but today I just wanted to start it and forget it for as long as possible.

Miner team is pretty slow -- almost 10 hours to get those 4750 levels...:steamsad:
