This is an Idle game, it is meant to take some time...
The timer continue while you are logged off so you can do one arena each time you log on.
Just hit arena up between runs and it'll happen fairly quickly.
Obviously, if you just ignore that the arena exists until you hit "endgame" and then realize you have to run it 25+ times just to get the achievement when you finally realize there are achievements you're going to feel like it's taking forever.
The majority of the achievements happen with no extra effort beyond just running the dungeon over and over.
The only other ones I can think of off the top of my head that take any extra effort are the ones you need to land multiple status effects or specific attacks against a single enemy.
I can't really see how you can call one of the few achievements you actually have to do something special to achieve "completely pointless" unless your only goal is to get achievements for steam level and never play the game again.
In that case, I wish it took weeks of play time to get it just so you could be more annoyed as a punishment for posting this useless complaint thread.
