Standard run VS "Quick Battle" with battle credits
I'm a newbie and I can't tell what are the benefits of simulating a "quick battle" with credits instead of doing a classic run. Here's a typical result of a "quick battle":
"Start at level 51 with 100 Battle Credits. Party stopped at level 56; it is your highest completed wihtout credits. 94 credits refunded."
The team doesn't get far, the loot is usually poor and most of the credits are refunded though I've no idea what to do with them.

Should I stick to standard runs? I'm in Dimension 2.
What's the actual role of battle credits and quick battles?

They basically just allow you to nearly instantaneously run levels of the dungeon that you've already passed through in regular runs.

If you have them, go ahead and use them. If you want, you can save them and use them up just before going to the next dimension to quickly gather essence before the portal resets your level. That way you make sure you have a nice chunk of essence to spend on your new relic.

Sure, you can't use them to progress to a high level in the dungeon than you've already gotten to, but they give the rewards of the levels you can use them for in a tiny fraction of the time it takes to actually run those levels.

Next time you get to the end of a 100+ level you can see what rewards you got, then remember how long that run took and think about getting those results in a few clicks instead of that run time. That's what the credits do. It's even better when you have more of a level range to use them on.

Of course, it's better to spend your time actually running instead of sitting offline just to get battle credits, but it's a nice boost to offset the offline.

Quick battle is exactly that... quick battles. It's a way to catch you up on some of the time the game wasn't running. It stops at the highest floor you've completed when running the dungeon normally - i.e. you can't use the credits to speedrun floors you haven't already visited.

Quick Battle is where you spend Battle Credits...
If you are using characters with improper Soda Script, of course your run would end sooner.
Or if your team isn't reaching a new max level.
It is very useful to grind any mid-high levels of a dimension for extra resources, since you are likely got some great loots that might help, such as Essence Magnets. Before losing them on a new Dimension.

Of course you have to push to a new highest level for better loots/resources rate, and using proper Soda Script, such as not telling your team of 6 Nurses spam First Aid when someone is not 100% HP.

After last Dimension, since the drop location of Sulfur and Obsidian are changed to all, it won't be really doing much. Just use to clear last hundreds levels if it is full.

Thanks but I still don't get in which cases (at Dimension 2) should I do standard runs or quick battles?

For instance, if my max level if 60, should I do quick battles from lvl 1 to grind a lot of resources? Or should I focus on pushing my max level with standard runs?

I'm not sure how resources (again, not the end game stuff, I don't understand any of it for now) are important to support my progression.

If you want to progress: standard runs - you flat out can't get deeper into the dungeon with quick battles.

The only other difference between standard runs and quick battles is the time it takes. If you can't leave the game running as long as it needs to complete a standard run (and that length of time starts to get LONG), then you could use what quick battle credits you have and only do standard runs using warp to start near your lowest floor and push your progression. I think the idea is to make it so time-poor players aren't too disadvantaged compared to time-rich players.

Don't bother grinding resources until you're getting down to at least floor 1,000 - the more useful ones don't drop until after floor 500. Even then, remember that you're going to lose at least 50% of them when you go to the next dimension, so only really grind for them if you absolutely need to.
