Crafting or upgrading weapons persist through dimensions?

So I recently sold many resources to try to get gold for upgrades, before going to the next dimension.

But then I found out that, it seems some (or all) of those resources persist through to the next dimension.

But I do not know if any crafted items or upgraded items, will persist through the different dimensions.

For example, if I'm in Dimension 2 and find a Sword X, it looks like I lose that Sword X when I go to Dim 3. So if I had spent gold and resources to upgrade it in Dim 2, is it only an item I could use in Dim 2 to help my group in Dim 2, or if I find it in Dim 3, do I get it again with that level and upgrade? The gained levels of the classes we can choose from, seem to persist through the next dimension, but I don't know if the weapons/armor/items that are upgraded, will also. What is the situation for those crafted or upgraded items?

All gold and items disappear when you go to a new dimension. That includes anything you crafted or upgraded and any resources you have.

The only exception is that by getting the blacksmith upgrade you can carry forward up to 50% of the resources you have.

For the most part, it's not very useful to craft or upgrade items before warrior dimension. Most of the gear you'd want to upgrade are likely to drop at a higher level on your next run anyway. Most of the things you can craft easily, you can get equivalent or better dropped gear.

Even though there isn't much use for crafting or upgrading, you may as well do it if you want to or you can get some benefit out of it because you're going to lose half or more of the resources you have when you progress anyway.

Still, it's better to concentrate on permanent benefits like unlocking upgrades and leveling your relics over temporary things like gear. Just use what you find and set your liquidate to sell everything except resources before going through the portal.

Ok thanks for the info. Now that I've been able to get to next few dimensions to see the after math of having more resources saved up or new items appearing, I see what you're saying that the items (or item levels) that I would have gained in the previous dimension, it's faster (or easier) to get them in the next dimension. So they might help a bit in that dimension but I just have to get used to it not saved for the next dimension, but the next dim might have it better or something better also.
