You'll want to get to the point where you can ransack then clear every level in 1 claw attack first. Then you can evaluate whether or not ransack is better than not ransacking by doing a few test runs.
Run once for a good amount of time with ransack on then run a second time from the same starting level with a pure speed kill group without ransacking. Try to run to the same ending level with both runs. The 2 runs should give you a good indication of how much total essence you gain per time with both methods.
For me, the transition where ransack was surpassed by a pure kill speed group was at around 80k levels in my gold find relic. It'll be different for various setups though so it's always best to test for your own setup.
Noxin can work but only if it can 1 hit kill with phantasmal claw can not. Claw is much faster so it's much better for speed killing and because of that much better for maxing out your essence gain.
You can use it on just about any class because the class based differences will be fairly minor with high enough relic levels. Many speed builds use claw on the Dark Lord just because he can be scripted and beat janitor attacks to add a little more reliability and speed. You'd have to script him to defend if anyone needs a heal (same general health triggers you use on nurse to heal) and have a backup party member to kill with a claw after nurse heals.
As Frackus mentioned above, What's your Efficient set up for consistent 2300 FPH? (No Warp) has a lot of good info on efficient end game builds.
