Final Dimension Boss
It looks like this is a two phase boss fight.

Any pro-tips?

Also: I heard there is an okay ending; is there much reason to continue the game after this?

I don't know how to phrase this politely, so I apologize ahead of time if I come across as rude.

For the boss fight itself, search for threads already posted.

Is there much reason to continue the game after? That is entirely subjective. This is an idle game, not some linear story game. The little story at the beginning is more of an introduction to the grind that is to come. If you just wanted a story, then continuing is a moot point as there will be no story afterward. If you like an idle game that can help you fill some boredom, then by all means continue.

I found the best way to defeat the final darkest lord was to give everone the resistance items and the max out all of the gear.

I used amazon, miner, dark mage, healer, thief healer..

I also had all my relics at level 40 each and the only hero relic I unlock for my healers at level 50.

I hope this helps

Now THAT was a good answer!

I don't think I will continue much past Dim 10. I think it is an achievement in itself to just say, "Hey, I did that! lol "

I read this in a Steam Guide:

And in dimension 10, the boss uses an attack that puts your whole team to sleep. It's very rarely resisted, even if you invest in the status effect relic. You'll need a special piece of equipment that the wizard will help you learn to craft. Get two for your healers and you should be fine.

How do you get this equipment? :)

The wizard will give you a quest called "Sleep Tight" which involves clearing 2000 levels. Completing it will give you the recipe to the Doodle Charm, an accessory that makes a party member immune to sleep. It requires 2,500 gold, 10 feathers, 1 glue, and 1 eggplant.

Do you pretty much need it to defeat the final boss?

If you don't want to grind your combat relics to lvl 200 or sth. I'd recommand you to use the doodle charm.
Luckily it is enough to grind for only one charm and put that on your nurse (at least it was enough for me). The nurse will heal the party until rng is on your side (he won't spam his sleep skill) so you can actually attack.

If you're curious, I used 2 nurses and 4 dark mages. Mainly because I'm still nostalgic towards those sweet dark mages from the first soda dungeon.
And since the darkest lord has a lot of health their ability to poison isn't all that bad for the fight, especially since you'll have some downtime waiting for your group to wake up (if you decide on only getting the charm once).
Although for this strategy I have to admit, that going for 6 nurses would be much better.

Anyways, enjoy the game and make sure to look into WD once they decide to give it additional content (in the first soda dungeon there was still a bunch of new stuff in WD to discover, so I sincerely hope there'll be more implemented in SD2 as well).

You got lucky. The 5 or so times I tried with just mas stat resist gear he still slept 3-4 people first cast then another 1-2 people second cast leaving 1 poor lonely carpenter to nail him a few rounds before team started getting cleared out.

I finally gave up and just farmed the chicken trinket and that made the fight hilariously easy.

Nope... every single time I tried at least 3 people were immediately asleep. Then within 2-3 more casts I would always be down to 1 party member left. That was with resist as high as I could get it without taking 10k+ levels of farm time to work 8% more from the pet.

On my best attempt I managed to beat phase 1 with 1 party member still alive and awake and died immediately to phase 2.

I pushed through the first 9 bosses much easier without having to sit and milk any dimension much at all. my highest level classes were mid 30s where I have seem people mentioning lvl 50s at that point. My relics were all under 50 and were fine for earlier dimensions.

In order for me to be able to level my relics high enough to beat the boss with only 1/2 or less of a group instantly I would have had to farm much longer than I did to make the chicken charms with 80 item find. At 80 item find, wings and teeth are quite common.

With the 6 chicken charms I made, he was a push over, I probably could have done it with only 3 to keep 2 nurses and 1 damage alive but the mats for the chicken charms were dropping fast enough that I just finished out the full 6. Other than the sleep, the fight is incredibly easy.

Ran 2 Nurses with chicken charm thing and 4 Carpenters with copper bracelet. Also had my status resist relic maxed out and the pet too (can't remember how lvled it was at the time). So the first half wasn't a problem, had to redo it a few times because 2nd phase guy kept stunning my Nurses all the time but otherwise wasn't too bad a fight.

just use 3 nurse in your team and 3 carpenters/dark mage .
I used dark mage because she can turn the boss into stone with curse and it's free victory .
I just used the craftable accessory which give 30% status resistance .
the bronze bracelet . Doodle charm is not needed . the status relic was level 10 . kevek 20 should be good too and attack and hp relics were lvl 30-35

He resisted my stone every time and wiped me out within 30 seconds.
