Damage Relic is OP
Lemme explain.

So this one time, early into Dimension 3, I had recently racked up the Nurse Soda and decided to level up my Relics. I pumped a bunch of Essence into the Damage Relic, and when I started, I was amazed. I blasted my way through the dungeon all the way to Demona. Demona! For those who don’t know, Demona is the first proper boss of the Throne Room behind the Cleaner or whatever creature the Dark Lord has decided to turn into today. So somehow, I battled my way through to Demona with this setup:

Armor: One has Bonemail(I think), one has Leather, rest have none
Weaponry: One has Rusty Sword, three have Wooden Sword, rest have Bottles
Shields: One or two have stools, nothing apart from that
Accessories: One has Heal Stone, one has Rock, rest have none

So somehow I managed to beat the Throne Room’s halfway boss with that setup. I think it’s safe to say that the Damage Relic or whatever it’s called is OP.

PS: As an extra, I did some math so you guys don’t have to. The max level of the Damage Relic is 100. If you get an extra 2 attack damage per level, this means you could possibly get 200 extra base damage with a max level Damage Relic. Of course, this requires an absolute crapton of essence farming, but look at the big picture. Just look at it.

PPS: The Squad was All-Nurse, so don’t expect the same result from Miners, Carpenters or Junkies. Though it is open for optimisation as I did have Autocombat on for most to all of the run.

Wait til you start getting to lvl 300+ with nothing but your starting 6 soda junkies. Yeah relics are strong but that's the point.

“No. Don’t do that. That’s just encouraging him to do it more.”

The relic isn't capped at 100, it's uncapped.

I mean, demona isn't difficult. Just a regular boss. She is certainly not spoilerworthy :P

And the atk relic adds flat atk, so the higher it is, the less relative gain you get per level.

My ATK relic is at 585. Not sure where you got the max of 100 from.

You did exactly the thing you were told(in quotation marks)not to do.

But I am happy to be corrected. This isn’t one of the scenarios where I say “Correct me if I’m wrong”, someone corrects me and I tell them to @#$&! off, this is one of the scenarios where the thing that amazes me becomes even more amazing, like finding out the mobile port of BSM2 is nothing like the flash version.

Yeah wait till you unlock a mastery relic...
2x att/hp/mp per level for the class. no cap. makes damage relic a secondary

UPDATE: So I just got to Dimension 4, and somehow, on my first run, thanks to a combo of a Level 4 Health Relic and a Level 12 or so Damage Relic, I was somehow able to get to Level 99 on my first or second run of the Dimension with nothing but Junkies and the starter gear. Sheesh!

EDIT: fixed a typo

It gets kinda stupid later on, I did like 1-500 on Dimension 6 with my naked Soda Junkies, then when I got the tavern money thing maxed so I could go Thief, Mystic, Nurse, 3x Carpenter from the start I made it to the final boss of every Dimension thereafter.

UPDATE 2: So I racked up some more Sodas and Equipment to beat the Dimension 4 dungeon. Somehow, I managed to get all the way past the first two Cleaners and to the 2XX levels. It was around the second half of the 2XX Jail that I was killed. Crazy, right?

Not crazy, design. There are upgrades you can get to carry some gold and resources over and start each new dimension with the ability to make iron sword/shield and leather armor. Buy whatever healstones are available and you can push almost to the boss each rebirth

Speaking of Healstones, racking up six of them is one of the first things I do whenever I enter a new dimension. Maybe it's just because I'm a $@#!y, but this game makes me lean more towards recovery than just being overly tanky or powerful which is what I normally do.
