is the item find broken or not ?
they say that putting +item find making it worst cause it is broken, but how can it get worst than zero ? what is the base item find before accessories ?

The current problem with item find is it'll increase your chances of common/uncommon items which will mean less rarer items will drop.

pourcentage should remain the same, you just get more of everything as rare or not

in my exprience, it seems this game's item find options is have different meaning for then other games. if u expect to the farming for high tier items, it didnt works so as u can see. it so lame. :(

but u can use the item find for farming resource from monsters and boss, it can very useful

So the dev states "Item find makes it more likely that any item will be given, including legendaries. here's the problem: the game starts picking random items (from the current area/level) and seeing if you qualify for each one. but if your item find is high and the game randomly picks a common item first (which is more likely), you will qualify for it 100% of the time, so it gets chosen." Anyway, in next update item find won't apply to common/uncommon items.

That link is the dev log of Soda dungeon 2 it includes upcoming updates and bug fixes

it states "The Item Find bonus will no longer be applied to common and uncommon item rolls" has been fixed and is in the upcoming version of the game currently in Q/A

im not sure if thats the issue though, i think theres more than meets the eye,
like anyone noticed gold shields dont start dropping until the final 100 levels of the current dimension you're in? it feels like rare items are not even in the drop table at all until the final 100 floors

no, the devs have noted it is exactly how it works. The Common/Uncommon triggers first, then other rolls, but if you have say 100% chance to get an item - common/uncommon will be triggered before it even has a chance to roll for higher tier.
until patched, (in progress), I would use gold bonus items and pets over item gains, at least then excessive gold can be converted into essence (which you can literally never get enough of)

ah i love learning how games program RNG and how sometimes they bugger it up without realizing it

as a coder i can sympathize, may the fix come swiftly
