How to get ruby and obsidian?

Now I'm on lvl 30.000, but I'v still never found one of them.

Ruby? You mean sulfur? And obsidian is very rare. Also I hope you are not using item find because item find is kind of broken right now for getting legendaries (obsidian is a legendary drop).

It basically makes common and uncommon stuff drop more often indirectly making rares and legendaries drop less. Item find will stop affecting common and uncommon drops in 1.04 though.

The Ruby is something you get in the mail in same dimension you get the quest to upgrade the blacksmith. If you plowed through the dimension without stopping, you missed it.

Sulfur can sometimes be bought if you end your dungeon runs between x600-x800, and Obsidian is an extremely rare drop from mines (but is not something you'll ever find an ore vein dedicated to).

Caves actually, it's a chest drop. Same with obsidian. And the droprate for both will be upped with 1.04.

Obsidian starts dropping at floor 900 and sulfur starts dropping at floor 500.

Umm so given that the ruby is needed to unlock upgrading gear past 4, would there be another way of getting one, or is it GG, reset your game.

Im on stage 577,989 and I have 0 Obsidian and over 200 sulfur... Explain what is wrong? full team of miners, with Geodes. over 80 hours into the game. While at work it runs on my tablet (now PC) and when im home I monitor it. I could just crack the game and give myself what I want, but I don't want to cheat. I played soda dungeon for ages to see my friend who had 0 experience in the game use cheat engine to just break everything I did over months in seconds...

Obsidian is not gotten from ore so geodes and miners wouldn't affect your chances of getting obsidian whatsoever. They are from chest drops in caverns. Obsidian starts dropping at floor 900 and is a legendary drop. You'd be better off just playing normally (and with a thief in the party for triple chests).

However the droprates for obsidian (as well as sulfur) will increase in 1.04 which we will hopefully get in about a week going by what the dev has said (which was 1-2 weeks after release).

It's a rare bug, but it will be fixed next update.

Mmm I see, I have talked to people who haven't even broken stage 75,000 and have 2-5 obsidian, it was beyond tilting that I am playing and want to craft things with the Obsidian and have not found a single piece yet. I used the glass warden with the Carpenter and used the Buff for 100% crit along with a Maxed crit relic, I was supremely underwhelmed...

I guess I will just keep running stage 900+ until maybe I find one. My team goes 20k-30k levels in about 6-8 hours. so it farms while im asleep.

I mean start at whatever max level you are at. And don't worry about obsidian, there is nothing even remotely useful to craft with it. Tbh, all the legendaries you can craft are trash. Well, perhaps shield of the divine for an extra 10% DR.

Dunno why you would sharpen a carpenter though unless you in some rare cases might want to throw in a default attack. Nailed it doesn't crit.

No I would use sharpen on The Blade master with 2x Glass Warden swords. but again the damage was underwhelming.
