Hit a wall.
I unlocked the second town and got up to coal. I managed to get Iron ore to produce at 100% but now I seem to have ground to a halt, or at least one heck of a lot of grinding is needed. Anyone got any strats for getting past this or do I need to just wait it out ? I have set all my manufacturing to Iron ore to try and max out the income.

Just make sure you have enough stores to sell the ore at 100% efficiency, then upgrade the ore and stores accordingly.

I couldn't give you an exact map to use, but my hours played so-far are from some 90+% uptime because I have nothing better to do, have left the game running the whole time since installing it.

...In that near real-time I have without spending any coins, completed all sell X achievements excepting computers through to cotton.
...And the same to Eatown's production through to white vinegar.

If you micromanage a bit every couple hours, the game balance at present will allow you to surpass the stagnation you're in.

(Remember to get those sale achievements, they up sale prices and decrease production times!)

If a resource is taking too long, move on to the next one and return to it later after completing a less complicated one.

Also, tiles that remain on the board can contain their production or stock without moving on to a store, so sometimes while reconfiguring the board, if you are careful not to sell your overstocked production tiles, they can run longer while cut off from their surplus of supplying tiles.

Overall it is the most efficient I have found, to devote the whole board to one product at a time.

I'm up to computers now, about to build my first one. I have no idea when these chocolate cakes will appear, it sure does take a long time to get there it seems. I too have been doing the one product idea as it raises funds a lot quicker and it is easier to manage. This is one hell of an addictive game, despite it being rather simple.

Chocolate cakes are made in Eatown.

As of the time of writing, I am winding up to produce roast beef sandwiches through from start to the idle coins achievement for them, stocking the mayonnaise and lettuce first, as lettuce is only taking one tile to give more than 100% and I have 88% between two functioning mayonnaises.

...it will take 5.000 rounds of roast beef sandwiches to get past them entirely.
The actual roast beef, and the bread will go much faster as I can get them to 300-400% cycles.

I'm setting up for the same with 'Leather Jackets' in Beginner Town, fewer steps required, leather is produced much faster, as is cotton thread.

Dont bother clearing "make x amount of y" achievement instantly you get them. Just make enough to unlock next item and ditch current item. You can do those later with higher level upgrade in one craft cycle.

At the rate this game is going, setting up for that is in line with being able to afford the next thing anyways.

I am on hot dogs inone town and car on the other. The car is going really slowly and I had to use all my metal to get enough to make the body, but now it is done I changed the resources and have between 1 and 5% on the other parts. So that wil be done soon and I can work on getting them all to 100%.

Set your buy % to 1% and go through the rest of everything buying their upgrades to fill up the 1.5E4 upgrades quota for more idle coins.

You should from the free (achievement) idle coins, between both towns, be able to afford one each of Triple Prices, and Super Speed (10x speed)
