Turn up your volume knob on your speakers. Voila.

I did. It still is off. I even checked the game settings and that isnt the problem either.

Im assuming you went to Option/Audio and turned all the settings up?

Speaker jacks are in nice and tight?

Volume icon in tray is not muted?

Drivers are up to date?

Do you have audio for other games? Music?

Makes no sense. Try verifying the game cache and make sure all game dependencies are installed. Other than that, not sure what to tell you.

Might want to also trying running it from explorer and then compatibility mode. Perhaps changing the compatibility will work. Win XP or possibly Vista.

Same here I restored from a back up which I have always done and now for the first time there is no sound and I've used the same Realtek HD Audio Drivers for years 2.64 never upgraded because any thing above causes me issues.

I had the same problem. Found the below on the "Other" Steam forums. Go here for Win7 users with Realtek HD onboard audio: (May actually work for everyone, I dunno, but I have Onboard audio & it fixed my problem)

"...Steam\steamapps\common\frontlines fuel of war\OpenAL\" and click on the icon there..."

Now start the game & Presto! Sound.

IF this does not work, do this:

C:\Documents and Settings\<User>\
My Documents\My Games\Frontlines - Fuel of War\GCGame\Config

Open GCEngine.ini

Check [ALAudio.ALAudioDevice] (this is from mine)
MaxChannels=128
UseEffectsProcessing=True
TimeBetweenHWUpdates=15
MinOggVorbisDuration=20
DeviceName=
ForceSoftwareDevice=True
ReverbGainFactor=1.0

Reduce MaxChannels from 128 to 32 or 16

If the still the problem persists then Change UseEffectsProcessing=False
