I'm working through a 2-Guardian run, specc'd assassin and blademaster, both dual-wielding daggers. They chew through everything.
Wasn't real happy with 2-hand versions of guardian at all.
Next playthrough was going to do duo Engies, technomancer and inquisitor. Who knows...
I'd envisioned using Kaela as a summoner, but it was hard to tell how much her summons were actually contributing (I'm not convinced their damage output is included in the scoreboard at the end of a mission) - most of her mileage came from crowd control and the Constructor rod that replenishes magic shield (that thing was absolutely invaluable for a mostly glass cannon ranged team).
Malakai just pumped out huge amounts of damage - building for high base weapon dps, the pistol ricochet weapon skill cleared groups faster than most of his actual class abilities did.
Went good with my Assassin Mal.
For siblings i went mage for M and warrior for K. It does add some humor to cutscenes, cause their classes don't really fit the behavior - i've got hot-headed and a bit dumb mage and calm and wise brute ;]
