Do you mean that you reach level 7 before unlocking Benedict? Normally, it should not be possible. I would recommend following what you say and equipping daggers and choosing the Rogue specialization for Kaela after level 7. Also, there is no problem with resetting your attributes at any moment
^this. Because If there was a "warning" at the start of the game, I would NOT have made Kaela a warrior. :(
Sorry, my bad. I made Kaela a warrior (which is already melee-focused by the game's standards) at the start of the game. I originally intended for her to be my main tank (future Guardian). But before I reached Lvl 7, I got Benedict and he was already a Guardian (so I decided for Kaela to do something else). Unfortunately, her skills are "locked" into only "melee" specializations from now on. :( So she isn't really at peak efficiency, e.g. I wanted her to use non-magical ranged equipment like a rifle. Sure she can equip those, but a lot of the warrior skills are useless for non-melee weapons. So she can't really be an efficient ranged "rogue" moving forward (as a locked in warrior).
In any case, just a minor gripe on my part. The game, on the whole, is great. I like the voice acting and the character looks. Ben's voice is a bit odd. LOL Just finished Act I and I feel like I've already played a LOT of the game. Looking at the world map now, I realize there is a HUGE part of the world I still have to play and am excited. (Interestingly, less than a third of the game's players have finished Act I. They must be REALLY taking their time with their playing. LOL)
Having 2 warriors at the start isn't terrible though as they probably have the best early game heal until specializations. You also get enough party members that you won't need to use Ben later if you don't want/need to anyway and honestly imo you are better using one of the siblings as warriors if you want one as Ben's spec was pretty weak personally.
Minor spoiler about party members you can get: There are no other warrior companions so if you want another that you can fully customize you need one of the siblings to do it
