You need it for the research tree; it's very valuable.
Also, the most fun I've had at a game in some time, nice game!
+1
You need to hang onto most items for quite some time till you get the crafting/research/enchanting tabs opened, to understand what everything is for.
Definite lack of feedback for new players.
Thank you for your feedback. More detailed description fore those items is a great idea. I will add it to the list.
You sold them, are you new to RPGs?
Edit side note: Some players dislike what they call "hand-holding" in games. So even a lack of a clear purpose can be valued by a player. But since there are difficulty levels it'd be okay to offer more guidance on lower difficulties. However, development wise, I can understand that items having different descriptions can be less than ideal use of time. Time is money.
Has zero to do with it. There's a "CODEX" in game, which isn't really a codex. The first 20 mins in I queried it about 5 times, one of them being "Knowledge Fragment" and got zero results. Now I just ask on this forum, it's faster.
And the UI, I'm still trying to figure out the icons and values - and it's annoying. Even a few simple tooltips would have been enough for my 11 brain cells. Never understand how u develop a game, knowing how everything works, but purposely leave out any info like as if it's some neat trick to frustrate customers. In another thread I asked about Final DPS on the Inventory screen going down when I add equipment to characters - still doesn't make sense. And WTF is "ATS" stand for? Checked the "CODEX" beforehand and again, nothing about DPS or ATS.
And I was also wondering why my DPS goes down when I equip better gear. What's going on with that, please?
