Final boss fight *rant*
Seriously guys, those stabbing vine things are so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying, they slow down Linda and make her get ganged up way too many times. Please decrease the amount of these mofos or just get rid of them entirely because they sure did not make me enjoy this game more ( considering my positivity of this game went from 200 to 50 after I played it....... which is definitely not a good thing.

my tactic for speedrunning it now is kill the eye boss thingy then die so they despawn and then kill the second boss :D

This boss is so unfair ! I just finished the game too , and that was awfull , it's sad because i really like this game but a lots of boss fights are just frustrating , like the first boss of the game...

Oh and protip , you can hold F and continue to beat ennemi in same time, the flash will activate anyway.
And i didn't test but i thing flash still work even after she broke your phone, i think this because after the battle i can continue to make the flash animation when i press F.

You can skip animation by left clic (attack button) and then run, other thing there is a place in that room where tentacles cant reach you, you just need to play better
La Entity Feb 23, 2020 @ 4:46pm
You can skip the animation by attacking + they are set up in a way that is avoidable. Fight around and away, then attack the eye after defeating the enemies that spawn. Continue that method with the snake woman too.

Seriously?! If the flash still works then the devs did the WORST job testing this game(if that's already not obvious to begin with anyway) and I totally agree, I want to love this game so much but the poorly implemented combat system and the amount of bugs in this game is unacceptable. Hopefully they'll patch the game and fix all of the errors.

This boss fight is not fun and not fair. It's just appalling game design...and Digital Happiness (lol to that name) never learn: all the DreadOuts have this problem. They seem to confuse insanely difficult with "challenging". They are NOT the same thing.

This fight is very easy, just stay in the middle. Don't be afraid of taking a hit, it's better than getting stabbed than vine and getting perma stunned by vine/ghosts combo. Also if i understand the description correctly, your sword gives you life steal, so just sit on the middle and slash everything. It is also good because enemies will gather in 1 place and this sword has really wide attack.

That's all. Stay in the middle, spam lmb. Done, this fight is very easy that way.

The definition of "easy" is not "I somehow worked this out, yet numerous others didn't". Maybe you just got lucky.

In the end, I got through it by moving around constantly. Standing in one place I just got gradually murdered by the eyeballs. I don't know what "middle" you were standing in, but I died pretty quickly whenever I tried that.

Oh, and I'm completely confused as to which part of the "final boss fight" everyone's talking about. I meant the whole thing, and to be honest, I didn't die once to the Lamia boss...only the eyeballs. Which I died at least a dozen times to. Which is poor game design to begin with: the boss fight got EASIER for me as it went along, not harder!

There's just no need for so many of the vine-things; it's that simple. This whole game is full of crappy boss fights: the big hairy thing just before this fight is simple in concept but long and tedious in execution, while this one is needlessly convoluted and messy. And the very first boss fight in this game is ludicrously hard when you haven't yet mastered the mechanics. Digital Happiness, for all their strengths, are still clueless about how to do a good boss fight after three frickin' DreadOut games, lol.

TL;DR: Digital Happiness still cannot tell the difference between "challenging" and "frustratingly difficult". And I'm now convinced they never will.

In her (its?) whatever final form i was so angry i went all out and stabbed her like a moron. Worked xd.
For first part it was flashing as soon as i see a vine creeping close and focused on the boss except if foes ahead. But yeah, 10+ deaths to.

I didn't even know you could flash the vines for a while. It's all far too chaotic, and that's not the same as a legitimate "challenge" in my book.

When you encounter first vine in the game game teach you how to stun. I have no idea how could you not know you can stun them, game was straightforward about it and there was no other way to bypass the first vine.

Yes, when i said about standing in the middle i was talking about serpent phase. Obviously i didn't mean eye because you actually need to run towards it. In eye phase i was just running towards it using stun whenever i could. I didn't die once.

I died twice on second phase because i was doing everything to avoid enemies and i ended up in vines. It's death. Then i realized it's better to just take the hit from pocongs rather than vine and... that's all. Stay in the middle and slash like crazy.

No, i didn't get lucky, it's just the best way to do it. It is easy using this tactic. It's a bit anticlimactic because it is just going berserk but it works. That means we shouldn't complain about this fight being hard (because it isn't) but about that it is boring.

I think the only challenging things in this game are Act 3 fights with ghost and tiger, but it's mostly due to unfair hitboxes. Tiger is patched now from what i read. First boss... it's just bad, it is just exchanging hits to be honest.

Tiger was easy for me. So much chaos in the final battle wasn't.

Sorry, maybe you're just a good multi-tasker. I'm not. Busy boss-fights with tonnes of enemies don't work for me. And the serpent phase was easy for me; I didn't die once. And I kept trying to run towards eyeballs too, and died numerous times.

And there is never, ever an excuse for extremely long boss fights with no saves or checkpoints, such as the big hairy giant shortly before the eyeballs. Absolutely appalling game design.

Digital Happiness games are, I'm sad to say, an absolute CHORE. The boss fights aren't challenging or well-designed, they're just MESSY.
