Oh and protip , you can hold F and continue to beat ennemi in same time, the flash will activate anyway.
And i didn't test but i thing flash still work even after she broke your phone, i think this because after the battle i can continue to make the flash animation when i press F.
That's all. Stay in the middle, spam lmb. Done, this fight is very easy that way.
In the end, I got through it by moving around constantly. Standing in one place I just got gradually murdered by the eyeballs. I don't know what "middle" you were standing in, but I died pretty quickly whenever I tried that.
There's just no need for so many of the vine-things; it's that simple. This whole game is full of crappy boss fights: the big hairy thing just before this fight is simple in concept but long and tedious in execution, while this one is needlessly convoluted and messy. And the very first boss fight in this game is ludicrously hard when you haven't yet mastered the mechanics. Digital Happiness, for all their strengths, are still clueless about how to do a good boss fight after three frickin' DreadOut games, lol.
For first part it was flashing as soon as i see a vine creeping close and focused on the boss except if foes ahead. But yeah, 10+ deaths to.
Yes, when i said about standing in the middle i was talking about serpent phase. Obviously i didn't mean eye because you actually need to run towards it. In eye phase i was just running towards it using stun whenever i could. I didn't die once.
I died twice on second phase because i was doing everything to avoid enemies and i ended up in vines. It's death. Then i realized it's better to just take the hit from pocongs rather than vine and... that's all. Stay in the middle and slash like crazy.
No, i didn't get lucky, it's just the best way to do it. It is easy using this tactic. It's a bit anticlimactic because it is just going berserk but it works. That means we shouldn't complain about this fight being hard (because it isn't) but about that it is boring.
I think the only challenging things in this game are Act 3 fights with ghost and tiger, but it's mostly due to unfair hitboxes. Tiger is patched now from what i read. First boss... it's just bad, it is just exchanging hits to be honest.
Sorry, maybe you're just a good multi-tasker. I'm not. Busy boss-fights with tonnes of enemies don't work for me. And the serpent phase was easy for me; I didn't die once. And I kept trying to run towards eyeballs too, and died numerous times.
And there is never, ever an excuse for extremely long boss fights with no saves or checkpoints, such as the big hairy giant shortly before the eyeballs. Absolutely appalling game design.
Digital Happiness games are, I'm sad to say, an absolute CHORE. The boss fights aren't challenging or well-designed, they're just MESSY.
