Any patch to fix the broken AI?

Yes broken AI in skirmish mostly.

9 times out of 10 the SM AI only build a casern and spam basic scout/SM squad without any reinforcement/upgrades even in the highest difficulty. Letting it take a bunch of points and waiting half an hour don't do anything either, it's just a mindless spam of unreinforced units.

The Dark Eldar is another kind of broken, even on higher difficulties it barely produce any units at first, but keep building plasma generators and other building until the limit is reached ( 6 gen and usualy 2 of each others things ). Then it produce units like mad, but by the time he start producing he's usualy dead.

The Sisters suffer from the same AI problem thant the SM. 4 out of 10 it's just a casern and spam of unreinforced squads. 1 out of 10 is worst, because they don't even build the casern and just don't do anything at all.

Eldars and Orks are the same, 50% of the time they didn't bother to reach tier 2 and just spam banshee/pistolboyz again and again no matter the difficulties or the time you let them live.

Chaos is stuck like SM 3 times out of 10.

Tau and Necron don't have any problems, they throw everything at you right away.



So, any patch to fix this mess? And am I the only one to got a derped set of AI's?

there is a mod that fixes a lot if issues with ai.
there has been no information for last couple of years that there would be made any patches to the game apart from the gamespy>steam transition fixes.

The ai on ss has been broken for ever I think. That mod looks cool though I shall use. Thanks.

I third the AI skirmish mod - it makes the AI a thousand times better.

There is an AI skirmish mod for Dark Crusade and all the other expansions as well as the original game also if you want it...

This is an excellent mod, it's made skirmish scenarios far more active and unpredictable and a hell of a lot more fun!

you know, I was all these years on 3.1......

installing 3.2 now.
