Why the heck would they go and do something complex like that?
FYI: I'm still running the DVD-ROM version.
i swear the imperial guard had like 10 units of guardsmen and like 6 or 10 heavy weapons.
Oh and the funny thing is lol that they had 2 kasrkins and 3 ogryns :D
I played a couple of games, and as usual the AI gang up and makes a heavy early attack. If you survive that first attack, things tend to calm down. You can consolidate and get better troops after that.
Just get enough firepower out as soon as possible to counter the first assault. Anyway, just my experience...
It would be nice to be able to set different difficulty for the AI. Say one hard and one normal AI in the same game. Is that possible already?
Im sure i could beat them now but at the time i wasnt expecting a force that strong, my friend on the other side of the map was playing crons and got 5 ork squads to the face at the same time i got hit
I don't know what your level is at this game but i can give you a few advices if you're a newcommer to the DAW series:
-Use hotkeys on your production buildings and units (for example ctrl+0 on your fortress, ctrl+9 on your barracks, ctrl+1 on your main squad...) to gain precious time. You'll be able to constuct units, buy upgrades and change rally points without leaving the combat. you can also put rally point on your units or on capture points to gain more time and Actions Per Minutes.
-Use the Shift/Maj key to queue build order and point captures, it will save lots of Micro management.
-Use a standart Build Order until you're more confortable with the game strats (for example with the marines: build the barracks with your first builder, 2xScoots and a second builder in your fortress, move the rally point on the objectives for your scoots and build your commander As Soon As Possible...
build 1 generator if you can with the second builder but prioritize Listening Post building.... Build 1 marine unit but don't reinforce it... continue points capture and LP building at all costs... build a second marine unit, a generator or two if u don't have one... then tech and arrass asap, don't turtle or you'll die.
On certain maps and matchups, it will be better to build 3xscoots, 0 or 2 plasma generators, 1 or 2 builders but you get the idea: prioritize your commander, LP building and dont reinforce squads in the early game.
-Watch replays on youtube or dawreplays for exemple to learn from veterant players and your own replays to see your mistakes.
@Matt: the orcs did this kind of standart bo i'm talking about, sent you his 2xfortress squads + 2xbarrack squads + his hero in your base while teching/reinforcing --> "...got 5 ork squads to the face..."
I'm not a pro player, i did 200 MP games maybe but I hope it will help ;)

And by broken I mean that in one map you can have half the AI not producing any units or just basic infantry without upgrades, then the next map you got the 4 opponents AI sending you fully upgraded infantry spam with vehicules in less than 5 minutes -_-'
