Tau vs Eldar strats? :D
Hi, i am a returning veteran, used to main SM long ago and now i play Tau, my style is Economic heavy.

Thing is, i am atm in a 29 winning streak in automatch simply cause i have not faced any Eldar in 29 games. Most people in internet says that this matchup heavily favours Tau, so plz, how so? Every time i play against a good eldar i lose.

The simple existance of rangers forces me to go to vespids and vespids get ruined by Dark Reaper massed fire, meanwhile Dark Reapers outshoot Fire Warriors, being a far better unit overall, does even Counter veicles.

What is the magic that i don't know asbout Tau > Eldar?

Eldar have map control since Guardians > Stealth Suit.

In a direct combat Dark Reapers beat Fire Warriors and Vespids drain a lot of resources, but Rangers are godmode vs Tau as they are vs Space marines.

Where is my reading error? What i should aim for when playing Tau vs Eldar?

To be fair, Relic has a stiffy for Eldar and they have the cheapest, fastest and most effective units in the game.
So the "safest" way to win against Eldar is MORE Eldar.
The damnable Space Elves are just too imbalanced.

Have u tried useing battlesuits armed with flamers and vespids?

It might be an alternative for lategame but Eldar have definitive superiority since the very start.

everyone says tau is favored... i really dont know how.Ok, vespids can detect and tie then up, but other than that Dark Reapers even beat firewarriors in a direct fight. And that forgeting that Dark Reapers can turn FoF on and retreat without casualties and Fire Warriors can't do the same.

You go into eldar base with vespids and destroy generator, it's the first thing you need to do, then you have to use TC & FW wisely and eldar should have no chance.

Wow didn't know people played competitively this game. (bought it while it was 75% discount) I've been playing Soulstorm campaign A LOT and I believe i'm reasonably good Eldar player and I think I'd be good at PvP. Let me test my skills vs you guys....

Eldar can just get a single banshee squad and there go the harass. upgrade some LP2... and there goes the harass too... idk, i have even been watching this matchup in old dow torneys and even then Eldar always seem to win...
