Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Soulstorm

Why? Oct 8, 2016 @ 11:03am
Warhammer 40k Lore Question: Are Sisters of Battle gene-enhanced?
Are the Sisters of Battle genetically-engineered to be superhuman like the Astartes or are they just regular humans with power armor?

i don't think they are genetically-enchanced they're just Women that have sworn their loyalty to the Emperor and will do what they need to protect his Worlds

They are just regular humans in power armor because they cant get gene seeds from a chapter because they are women and the seed only works on men

well they are the Adepta Sororitas as that's another way of calling them other than just Sisters of Battle same goes for the Space Marines with them also being called Adepta Astartes

The sisters of battle are a cult turn state religion during the dark age of appostasy.
Long story.
Check the wiki.
Short version:
There the armored and armed part of the imperium state church.
Being part of the state church means better armor and gear that what those gaurdmen get.
But the reall power comes the there faith.
I dont know how or why there faith is any difference or more fanatical from the billions of people across the imperium of man.
But they gain "divine" abilies.
Also to my knowledge only 1 sister of battle fell to chaos.
1 compaire to entire space marines chapters.

Basicly there a bunch of zealots with a flame fentish with access to power armor and the emperor's blessings.
I rather face space marines then them.
Atleast space marines wont put an emperor touch and slaughter 90% of my army in 5 seconds.

You are right, but I could have sworn that there were other Ecclesiarchal sisterhoods in the IoM that were non-combatants and instead acted as advisors.
I can't find thier name or remember it tough...

They are trained to be very zealos from a very young age,and when they are not fighting or looking for heretics they meditate and pray. Plus, they are armed to the teeth with holy relics.
Also the Living Saints are pretty much Greater Daemons of the Emperor.

The Adepta Sororitas has a lot of Orders that are combat focused. They do have orders that are pure medical, administrative (advisors to planet and sector leaders...also spy on them if they go traitor) and orders focused on literature and decoding. They do have name for those Orders.

Basicly there a bunch of zealots with a flame fentish with access to power armor and the emperor's blessings.

I would rather get BBQ by a Sister of Battle then get dragged into an Inquisitor's torture chambers. Don't forget that the sisters are often used by Inquistors hunting for witches, traitors and mutants.

Also to my knowledge only 1 sister of battle fell to chaos.
1 compaire to entire space marines chapters.
One went traitor and serves the Chaos God Slaanesh. She did manage to convert a platoon or two of sisters who went hunting for her specificily. I don't remember how many exactly or her name off-hand.
One of the combat Orders has sworn to hunt her down.

Sorry a bit of a pet peeve about stories in general.
Feel free to ignore.

The problem with that is that the emps didn't truley explaine why they had to stop using their abilatis, also magnus had was forced to use sorrcery to safe his ligon when he was found, as their numbers where literlary only a few thoussand, the emp didn't help the legion wich he knew was on the brink of destruction.

I haven't read the story itself, but.......from what I can tell, it doesn't look like it was sexualized. However, you never know what ideas the author had in their head.

Keep in mind that Slaanesh does cover perfection as well as things like lust. So his influnce spreads to other activities. Working with Tzeentch's teachings to improve your combat tactics? That also falls under the pursuit of perfection so Slaanesh will also matter.
