Game keeps crashing

So my computer can run this game easily, I've been trying to play an IG campaign but every time I beat the Sisters of Battle, the game crashes right after I win and before I can save. It's getting really frustrating. Any advice?

Specifically what happens is that I will win the battle, the cutscene will play, it'll seem like it's going back to the menu, and then THAT is where it crashes

oh yeah i got that same crash - took the sisters of battle stronghold then the game crashed and took me back to the save just before i attacked... i am yet to go back to that campaign...

I gave up on this game months ago due to this glitch. I assumed it was the computer. One new laptop later and I am starting to wonder just what the hell is going on.
I just want to play a guard campaign, I can't do that with the sisters constantly biting at my ass.

Save just before winning, go to the menu and lower the resolution (800x600 works) and/or spam the escape key to stop the cutscene from starting. I just started playing this again and this seemed far too familiar when it happened, but I could not remember what I did to fix it years ago. Solution(s) easily found since this issue is common and existed on the disc version as well. Developers should have fixed this sh*t.

Mine just crashed on the Imperium home map (4th defeated faction) as well. Just spamming the escape key will stop it from crashing. For the Imperium you need to start spamming it either as soon as you destroy the the last Mars Pattern Command, or when you destroy their main HQ (whichever you destroy last will trigger the cutscene).
