Zoom out tool

Hi, does anyone have a link to the zoom out tool for this game. I know that there is the "camera zoom" mod, where you copy 3 files to the game folder, but there also was another mod that came with a handy tool (which recognized all 4 DoW1 games), where you could enter our own values. Any help?

There's probably a bunch of people with it sitting around waiting to reupload I'm sure it'll surface again somewhere. I#m not sure about any tools, but I'm certain it shouldnt be too difficultt o adjust the values of the currently available camera mods.

Been tracking down some old mods and came across this. I know it's an old post, but tracking some of this stuff down can be a real pain.

I uploaded "ZoomModSettings" to my dropbox. It let's you customize the camera how you want. Please note, I have not tested or used this in quite some time, but unless they changed something under the radar it should still work just fine.

Here's the readme:

With this you can easily change the default zoom level and declination of the camera zoom mod. You can fine-tune the default camera to best fit your screen and resolution, so you are sure to get the best view when you hit backspace.

Note: You can even change the settings while in the game (just alt-tab) as long as you're not in a skirmish. Your changes will take effect when you start the next skirmish.

Usage:
Just run ZoomModSettings.exe.

IMPORTANT: All DoW games use the "first" cam mod it finds. So if a MOD comes with a cam mod and you are playing that mod you need to adjust the right cam mod. You should either adjust the cam mod that came with the mod (i.e. dowai) or uninstall it by removing camera_high.lua and camera_low.lua from <DoW game folder>\<mod name>\Data. 

Have fun!

Forcing installation:
If you want to force cam mod installation to a DoW game, run "Setup zoom mod.vbs" to install to <DoW game folder>\40k\Data. Warning: Forcing installation will overwrite existing cam mod files in 40k\Data with cam zoom mod v1.4 files... (The vbs file just runs "ZoomModSettings.exe -install")

Requirements: Camera zoom mod 1.x, .NET framework 3.5, get it here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=333325FD-AE52-4E35-B531-508D977D32A6&displaylang=en

Disclaimer: This application only changes settings in the camera zoom mod files installed by yourself or by a mod installed by you. Use at you own risk.

You might need this camera zoom mod (I'm not 100% sure, but I think it says it's a prerequisite)

The only difference I can see between this zoom mod 1.4 and the one on moddb is that it has 3 files and not just one.

Can anyone explain to me how to get the tool linked in the "answer" to this discussion to work? I've tried everything, but it just keeps saying there was an error writing the file.

Have you tried running it as admin?
