Report a translation problem
First, the LAA mem fix, for a > 2gb buffer.
And then, go into soulstorm installation folder, look for a file named Local.ini, open it with Notepad, and set the Fulress Tamcolour from 1 to 0.

Game crashes during battles with too many diverse faction. I had the problem with UA Mod to but i dont remember how i solved it...
So, as said above you must:
1] Enable the LAA fix.
2] Set the Fulress Tamcolour from 1 to 0, in your Local.ini, file.
3] DO NOT have the AI Map DB win condition enabled in big matches (it requires LOADS of mem!)
...and still try avoiding 8p games!!!
See, even if the engine finally LOADS an 8p game, it is STILL very heavy!!
Too many entities, too many IDs, big AI Arrays...
Have 6p games instead :)
6p is the sweet-spot.
... We cannot do anything about that, I am afraid...
It's a little bit a pity that it dosent work with many races but as you said, Engine not capable
