Who cares about graphics.
Oh right you're Gen Z. Nevermind. Yeah "remaster" everything because you were 4 when it was new.
I would be more supportive if they opened a steam workshop so mods would be easier to use. Though, that's not to say there is anything wrong with ModDB, but it would just make things convenient.
-the camera distance issue fixed (default camera too close, zooming out further causes issues with fog of war, unit visibility etc.)
-a resolution-scaling UI that doesn't get too large or too tiny on certain resolutions and is eventually scaleable
-multi screen and widescreen support
-3d sound support (depending on camera position and -distance)
-support for custom army skins (as already in this game)
-an updated graphics engine that allows for some more detailed 3d models and also terrain effects due to weapon impacts (craters, things that catch on fire, wounded units damage models depending on damage type(s) received)
-proper modding support (as currently but this time please with a proper unit- and map editor that also allows to create custom units (and load custom models), structures, technologies, factions (!) but also to load and edit AI scripts for custom maps and have regions and event triggers to create such maps)
-the option to remap keys (supporting loaded mods that have custom upgrades / units)
-improvements to pathfinding: proper aircraft movement that no longer causes aircraft to move jerky, get stuck on terrain or get blocked by ground units and -structures while also supporting different aircraft movement types, like jet-like movement (always moving forward) or helicopter-like movement (aircraft that can remain stationary), eventually working with limited ammo, fuel, landing pads, if that adds anything to the game -and- fixed infantry movement that no longer causes infantry squads to scatter when trying to make room for your own or allied vehicles, causing them to be all over the place and block another even more, up to the point when eventually everyone is just stuck
-an AI that actually has to scout to have an idea what's going on and follows some chosen strategy instead of being a maphacker
-a proper campaign for each faction, as Dawn of War GOTY had it for the Blood Ravens instead of this skimirsh nonsense that the Dark Crusade & Soulstorm maps are on any region that isn't a stronghold
-no incompatibility issues with any software or hardware: available for Linux and Windows
-no performance issues
-no bugs
-no DLC bullshít
-no political correctness bullshít
-no target audience marketing bullshít
It's not just about graphics. A remake of this game would allow for it to be designed to run on modern hardware, which would make the game more stable and allow for better mods, assuming that they leave modding how Soulstorm currently handles it, which is unlikely considering what they did to it in Company of Heroes 2.
It runs on modern hardware with no tweaking at all. All you're asking for is another installment in the franchise line, not a "remaster." This nonsense of everyone begging for everything to get a "remaster" is getting old.
The issue is that some game companies use remaster as remake and sometimes the other way around. I'd be up for a full on remake that would essentially be the 4th installment and I don't see the point of a remaster.
Or the most annoying of them all, Living Saint resurrection bug, which disables the production of Penitent Engines or Confessor till she bites the dust. That has to be the worst offender.
Or Wych Combat Drugs + Rekindle Rage bug. It had cost me a game once.
Servers as they are can't handle 3v3 and 4v4 games, this game is in desperate need of a *REMASTER.* or at least a remake of sorts.
I was playing DoW 1, WA, DC and SS when they were brand new and purchased with my own money because I was already in my 20s and working; and you were watching The Wiggles on DVD. Hush up and go away.
