I do have mods installed but I can launch without them. Mods are light, only using an extended camera zoom mod and the 4GB patch included with the DoW Mod Manager. Launching with or without those enabled makes no difference.
And no, I haven't tried reinstalling yet. Install is fresh, just downloaded it a few days ago but I'll try that if nothing else works.
Just seems weird that with a few hundred people in matchmaking I can't find a single open match.
I believe the 4GB patch is the reason you cannot see multiplayer matches - the only players you will see are ones that also have this patch.
Well I just deleted the DoW Mod Manager, verified game files, then launched through Steam and now multiple matches are visible. I had the mod manager set to skip intro scenes, wonder if that was doing it.
I'll be experimenting with this more to pinpoint the issue.
I have the same issue with matchmaking - can't see any open public games when I want to play vanilla Dawn of War. I guess I won't be able to play multiplayer again unless I verify my game's files. Don't plan on doing that anytime soon, tbh - I enjoy my mods.
For background, I have my game setup to launch Dawn of War Soulstorm with the Titanium Wars mod right away (-modname TitaniumWars_SS) along with -forcehighpoly. I also used a modified .exe of the game that was provided by the mod creator on Google Drive. All three are needed for me to play the campaign with Titanium Wars without the game crashing. Now that I think of it, however, it might be the modified .exe that's the big issue - not my mods. I'll see if I can solve the issue by pulling the original .exe of my game out of the recycle bin and removing my launch commands.
