DAWN OF WAR SS LAN MOD!
This is a link to a fan mod that repatches the game back to 1.20 when lan and direct host were a thing.

Thats fair but if you get it through steam its harder, plus it adds a camera and extra maps so its kinda still worth it.
Returning LAN options to this game is useless:
1. Tungle is dead
2. Evolve is dead
3. Gamemanger is piece of sh*t
4. Hamachi limited in free version
And adding maps and camera settings to the DVD version is not a problem.

The game is dead too...

tell me if I'm wrong, but theres no other game that lasts so much time as DOW1, after 14 years, MP still alive with an average of 90 - 100 ppl online everyweek

OK. 100 people online. But 90% of them create password-protected rooms and play against bots.

You're wrong. Generals Zero Hour (2003 year). Pay attention that DOW seems to still have official support (as opposed to the Generals). We even saw DOW 2 and DOW 3. And where are all these players now?

You're wrong?!? Starcraft (an RTS created by Blizzard) still has a very strong community, ongoing support, and recently received an HD update with support for newer machines and better networking. It's been out there for over 20 years.

Yep, StarCraft is good examle.
Also, I do not want anyone to think that when I wrote the words "DOW is dead", I wanted to gloat. On the contrary, I sincerely hurt to admit it.

It's not complete dead but in low restortion with little amounts of players compare with big title rts games such as sc2. I think safe to say more work need be done if such a patch/expansion or new dawn of war title comes out. I expect players who liked the first 3 games to come back. But time will tell unless major work is done on technical issues it's going leave most new faces players to leave early and unless ballance patches are done more experienced players will not stay or get frustrated by the issue and hold that in content. So in general we also need new content every so often otherwise players get bored and leave. These are the underlining issues I think relic/Sega/microsoft face atm. With that said it's big world and things do and always will happen that could contribute to building up the playerbase for a more acceptable rts title in current standards.
